posttraumatism

More room escaping abilities will be required in the rather dark posttraumatism by Carl Herdenberg.

  1. Difficult interface. It's tough to figure out how to click to get to certain places. And yes, it is very dark. Don't play this on a rainy day.

  11. You can snap the magnet to the side of the bucket. Then you have to drag it straight up verrrrry slowly (you can release the mouse button occasionally) to get the key out, apparently.

I tried this several times and gave up -- it's far too hard. This is a pet peeve of mine -- if I wanted to play an arcade game I would, and if I wanted to do something pointlessly frustrating I'd play "click once a minute" -- there's no reason for difficult physical challenges in escape/point-and-click games.

  12. Yep - that WAS a wierd ending. But fun game, if a little challenging with the clicking.

    SPOILER: Walkthrough to follow...

you'll need the knife (look by the bricks), and a pencil (you get after reading the book); use the knife to 1.)sharpen the pencil, 2.) reveal what's under the carpet, 3.) get a file from one of the cardboard boxes (I never DID figure out the point of the broken vase), and 4.) remove some wallpaper.
The back of one of the letters you find gives directions on how to fold the wallpaper into a boat, which goes down the drain. (You'll need the file, 1st.) when the boat comes back ,use the pencil and send it again to get the screwdriver. Use the file to get the magnet. (look near the blood for that...)
Use the magnet on the outside of the bucket for the key inside. (opens the chest, to get the paper and dolls head.) There's another key inside the head.
Facing the chest, look up to the lights. the screwdriver reveals a door, the second key works here, but it needs to be filed. The dlls head comes in handy here, too, as the key needs to be marked for filing, somehow...
Once up the ladder, grab the plastic sheet - it works with the bookmarked page for a directional code for the 4 wheels at the top of the ladder. (move the sheet over the page so it highlights the phrase, "to pass"...) Grab the handle and pull - and watch the ending!
