neverending light

A guided tour goes horribly wrong in neverending light. Be warned: not a game to for the faint-hearted.

    Cool game, love the story and the gameplay and graphics are way above your standard run-of-the-mill flash game.

  11. This is profoundly annoying. Beautiful atmospherics, and I'm intrigued by a horror-story game which is basically a narrative with a little bit of interactivity -- but it is fracking impossible to land a third hit on the monster's tail when it's backed up in the corner. Some comments left at kongregate suggest that the game's running slowly, and maybe when it's running at medium speed it's not so hard to maneuver around the tail... but the controls are CLUNKY. There's just no way to get to the tail in time to take a swipe. As an arcade game this sucks, so the designer should make the arcade part beatable.

  12. Just watched the video walkthrough, and apparently you're supposed to sneak up behind the monster each time. Too bad the monster went into a corner so I can't sneak up on it, making the game unbeatable. The designers ought to correct that.

  13. Nah Matt, When you've hit the monster enough times it'll back up in that north-east corridor dead end. Some other huge baddy then will "snatch" it (in slow-mo) and drag it into the walls...

  14. Huh. All that happened for me when the monster was backed up was that it kept hitting me, until eventually I gave up and watched the video walkthrough, which took forever to load.

    It's a shame, I liked this game up to the point when it got incredibly frustrating for me.

  15. I got it to work after it backked into the corner. Just keep trying to sneak round to it and it'll eventually turn to face the corner. Godd game, really looking forward to the next edition. Didn't get the ??? tho at the end. Anybody know what that is? I'm too lazy to go back and try to collect all the sprites!!

  17. i found that if you just tap the arrow keys (so you move slowly) it wont notice you and you can hit it easily. remember that the tour guide sais 'the creatures in here dont have sight so they rely on other senses'.

  21. WooHoo! I got through all of the game without any help! :D I liked the game, but I couldn't find the final sprite dropping darn it!! I'd of found out what that ??? was if I got all of em. Ugh!
