Must pop words is live! Well the moment is here, my brand new bonte game is launched. As announced it's a word themed game (since I made it for the MochiMedia word game competition). oh no! it's not working for me :( does anyone else have this problem... i have windows vista, using internet explorer 8... had some probs with a couple of other sites not working too...

my score was 2293
well when i click the link it opens in a new tab in internet explorer, but there is just a black box where i assume the game should be loading... but nothing happens even if i wait a while.
i think it might be my internet explorer settings or something to do with vista but i havnt figured it out yet :(

i have a new laptop with windows vista, i didnt have a problem before with my old laptop that had windows XP because i played 'me and the key' on there but still unsure of the cause of the problem...
oh scrap that! me and the key is working!

woot, I had number 1 high schore for a bit, 8k =). Onto to criticism, good game, but I feel it's been done before, and I don't think it accepts some words, I had a problem with words such as intimate and inmate.

I love word games, so I like this. My only criticism would be that sometimes the bonus is unattainable because, for example, it asks you get to four three-letter words but you are far enough into the game that you have to use a minimum of four letters.

nice game, bart!!! just to let you know, you can do plurals, and it let me repeat words. Out of curiosity, how is this game scored?
A really great game, although my mother tongue is not English. (Is there a Version in other language planed???)
What's kind of strange on this game is that some bonuses can not be cleared coz it's hard to write five two-letter words when the words must at least have e.g. three letters :-D

nice touch how at the end of the game the words that were typed in the game scroll up.

I was on my way to a decent high score, then my laptop totally shut down and got really HOT! It seems ok now so I"ll try the game again as I really like it.

Great game, but I wish there were some instructions... I had no idea that I could use 2 letter words at the beginning (most word games start with a minimum of 3, so I guess I just assumed) or that some words couldn't be used more than once. It was strange though, I definitely used a couple words more than once, but others I couldn't
Very fun! 3104. I lost when it said 4 letter words and up. For some reason it didn't accept and nation :x
Some clarifications:
The word list was provided by dictionary.com, so if there's any words missing just report and I'll add them.
There are some plurals in the list, not for every word, so that's why the instructions say not to use plurals.
You can retype multiple times the same word, no problem.
Missions that are not possible should not be shown, that should be covered.
When you type a word that is not in the list, but a shorter word starting from the beginning is in the list, the shorter word gets accepted (I did this to not punish you for a plural that's not in the list for example).
When you type a longer word, but it's not possible to build this word with the letters on screen, nothing gets accepted. Everything you type should be possible to form with the words on screen.

Ah, after playing a few more times, I figured out what was happening with the words that weren't getting accepted more than once. Let's say I tried typing in "ties", but since plurals aren't accepted, the word "tie" was accepted instead. Then when the words have to be 4 letters or longer "ties" will no longer be accepted. Stupidity on my part, not an issue with the game, oops! It's really a challenge to not be able to use plurals, especially when you get to the 5 letters or more level...

it would be nice to have an option to chose language (as portuguese, for example) because I shared the game with some of my friends from Brazil and we think it would be easier for us if it was in portuguese, so that we can play head to head with people that speak english as their mother tongue.

good game - still had a problem where "type 5 2-letter words" but the minimum was 4 letters.
Also - definitely need a pause feature!! DH needed me to fix his pants and I almost lost because of it (but I didn't!)
Not too challenging though, I played for like 45 min and still didn't lose so I had to quit for time....
Thanks for letting me know! There was indeed another bug in the game with the missions to do 5 2-letters words or 4 3-letterwords when 2 and 3 letter word were no longer allowed.
I have just uploaded a new version of the game with a correction for that bug! Cheers!

great game, love the penguin, though I am less than wonderful at it. I'm not complaining, because I live in the States, but it would be good to have some other language versions, especially for all the Brazilian friends we have.

"HAS" is shortened to "HA"
Personally, I'd prefer it not accept shortened versions of what I put in. A lot of times, if I misspell something, it'll take a very shortened version of my longer word and then I can't correct my mistake because the letters are gone.

Well as I already told before the word list was provided by dictionary.com and there are no conjugations of verbs in the list, sorry ...
The little print in the game instructions says no plurals and no conjugations, cheers!
I played this fine once this morning, great game. Now next to the loading bar there is a little padlock and it just won't load. Any ideas?

I haven't seen any info about how the scoring works. Do you get more points for longer words? Do you get a bonus for clearing the screen? Are there scrabble-like points for more difficult letters? (Q, X, Z, J, etc.) It would be cool if those were implemented.

Also, there is some extreme frustration with it taking shorter words. Like "alm" when you type in "almost", or "free" instead of "freedom". This happens a lot but not always.
@mike_g scoring a 1 letter word gets you one point, a 2 letter word 1+2 points, a 3 letter word 1+2+3 points etc. but the big scores are definitely the penguin missions so you'll have to find a balance between leaving enough balls for successful missions but not reaching the 50 balls, cheers!
@mike_g both words "almost" and "freedom" are in the word list, so if a smaller word like alm or free is accepted it means not all the letters to build the longer word were present
I am a straight up addict of this game. Love it love it love it. I hope you win your competition.
If possible, you should try to pull the word list from the scrabble dictionary site (no conjugations, plurals, or proper nouns, and most words that don't meet these distinctions)
If you need help getting the data out of there, let me know and I will give it a shot.
would "federals" have been accepted? the 50th ball appeared as i was typing it. Plus, it was the "type an 8-letter word to clear the screen" mission... all the more agonizing!
oh my gosh - i got up to 'all words must be 6 or more letters! impossible.
is the link broken? I keep getting "this web page is not available" message but am not having problems with other pages.
I've updated Flash and changed my storage settings and I'm still getting the blank black box that bunny reported. I have Firefox 3.5.2 and IE 6. Any suggestions?

for some reason this game only loads when it feels like it. I'm not sure why, but when I click on it, it begins to load and does the commercial/ad, & after that the screen stays black. No game. This only happens with Must Pop Words also. Anything to suggest? Or anyway this can be fixed? :o)

I was confused about why it would not accept the word "DID" but then saw the note about the dictionary not having conjunctions of verbs.

This game is awesome, I'm depressed that it hasn't been working for a few days. =/

I love the game but a lot of the accepted vs. unaccepted words don't make sense. It wouldn't accept "gazing," but it took "grazing" (while in the 4 letters and up category). Sometimes it will accept one ending in -ed (sprayed) or -er prettier but other times it won't (booked, nobler, merrier). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. And other times there is a word clearly on the board and it won't take it (this has happened frequently with the simplest of words such as "book." It's a really great game though so I wish those glitches were fixed!
I tried noggin three times and all it accepted was a word I never knew : nog. Help!
I love this game. I get a little miffed when I can see the letters, type the word, but the computer doesn't recognize the word. I'm sure you don't have an extensive word list, so no worries. It's great fun!! Thank you!!
