Help please! I'm stuck with a "gass" canister and a note and a blue key or something wedged between 2 boxes in the storage room that I can't reach. Any suggestions?

jeez! I finally found that stupid white stick - how ridiculous. For anyone else who's stuck: after you come out of the store room there's a white stick along the bottom of the wall to your left, just above the ground.
Megan, if it says 'no fire', maybe you shouldn't listen to it...
btw: What a romantic end... "female" is such a smooth word.
Megan, there is a pole on the floor that will let you reach the lighter between the boxes. The GASS is for the lighter.
The pendant for the inside of the box? Don't get the point of that.
Nice looking game though.
I burned the note and the fire is still going but I have no items left or can't find anymore!!
Now I put the fire out but can't find blue code.

it says happy end at the end, right? That implies there's an alternative ending. That's what the pendant is for =)

I feel a little stupid, because I have both the lighter and the gas, but I can't seem to fill the lighter with gas, nor light it or the paper. It's so frustrating- what am I doing wrong?
@ Beth: You can turn the lighter around.
Open the lighter by double clicking on the thumbnail. Then click around it until you turn it around =)
If you get the other end, 'female' just leaves you another note... and the game ends. A little more satisfying to have the happy end. Thanks Bart.

i must be stupid. i don't even know what to do with the pink and blue number pad things. someone help
@ danielley: have you picked up a pink wristwatch like thing? if not, you might want to check the ground!
I got the "I am sorry" end. That was a surprisingly quick game. Thanks for the tip about the stupid white stick, Megan. I would have never found it. I didn't see it even when I clicked on it.

When looking at the second door, click on the wall to your left and hold up the watch next to the pink spot.
I think you'll be able to find your way from there. ;)
