steambirds

Steambirds is an interesting turn-based aerial-dogfighting action/strategy yet very casual game by Andy Moore, Daniel Cook, and DannyB.

  3. best sort of 'turn-based strategy' game i've played... less annoying than a typical rpg, in that the animation isn't just a time-waster

  5. Good game but stuck on 1948, how are you meant to take on all those planes?

  6. @Wayne
Just keep flying straight and pump the gas every two turns. The pursuers will die soon enough. Or at least the small plains.

  7. This game suffers from the same problem that Heroes of Might and Magic 4 did. The computer based players base their turns on whatever the player is doing rather than independently of what the player is doing.

  8. on level 1948 to beat it what i did was use one of your planes as bait and while the enemy plane chases you chase him down with whicheva plane has the turbo boost
the best way is to have the bait plane fly in a giant circle so you can attack somewhat from the side to avoid the gas
for the huge plane slowly fly behind him and gun him down
    hope i helped
    im stuck on 1949

  9. with 1949 u tern the planes and run from the turrets, the gass plane will follow, user your gass to take him out then turn arround and double team the the turrets one by one
