  5. Some alternative version of guitar hero...

  6. Wonderful music, terrible gameplay. The music stops when I release the right arrow key, to mention only one thing. It's too slow, to mention another.

  7. Can't we take it easy once in a while without the 'drenalin junkies complaining?
Nice choice Bart. Great for when you want to take it slow.

  9. Sorry nemo, but I will add one more bad comment on this game. I'm a fan of experimental games, well, this is the first art/non action/musical game I hate.
There is NOTHING to do, the music is repetive, does not eolve with the boy walking, and it is sooo slow that (more than just being boring) that the gameplay was unplayable. I couldn't adjust the jumps, so it destroyed the music.

Moreover, the music has nothing to do with the game, it could have been more relaxant, or more strange, or moving, or anything else that would make sense ...

  10. actually..... the music stopping when you stop pressing the right arrow is the point..... It is not just some repetitive music in the background while you walk, it's integral to the game. That's why they insisted that you turn on volume.

As someone mentioned, it's like guitar hero. Would you be upset if guitar hero butchered the song because you didn't play well? That's sorta the point of the game...

Also, if you listen carefully, you'll realize that he tries to match the music to the scene/mood of the character.

AAAANNNDDD, you might also notice that the jumps you have to make is also related to the music... Like you jump on the down beat, or when the melody plays. Sorta like guitar hero. Once you realize that, it becomes a whole lot easier.

AAAAANNNDDD, once it becomes easier, you might actually get a string of the correct and realize that the birds are attracted to the beautiful music you're making possible.... and you can unlock an achievement by collecting birds. But when you trip, music is disrupted and the birds fly away.

It's basically a complete music mania type game, complete with purpose, challenges and achievements, but for people who want to still relax and enjoy the music and scenery instead of being rushed along by the treadmill that is guitar hero...

True, that type of game play may not be for everyone. But for what they set out to do, I think they did a good job =) Nice choice, Bart =)

  13. @ Liz: glad you feel the same one ^___^

now my only complain is that they need a restart button >< I'm going for "finish all 3 without a break" achievement... so once I trip, I just want to restart... =3

  14. Well, we're not the same. Ones don't like it, ones do. Like me. I love it!

  24. thought this was a bit rubbish at first but then when I linked the music with the birds - its fab! Only managed 6 birds - 20 to get?! - dunno about that. Great game!

  25. Sorry I will have to agree with nemo, I mean he is right, it is slow, and if it has to be, it better be relaxing, sadly, I think that because of the fact that you have to keep holding down the right key, for example, really hurts my finger after a time, the thought that you pretty much lose after one mistake, not being to regain the bird, not getting the achivements, not following the beat, the music getting disrupted kinda ruins the whole purpose of focusing the game around music, I like exsperimental games, and I like this style of art, but I just can't catch the relaxed atmosphere, its like sitting on a bench in the park, while a creepy hobo stares at you. O_O
