elephant quest
The latest jmtb02 creation is here: an elephant on a quest to retrieve his precious bowler cap, it's elephant quest.
Great game, apart from a few bugs. Firstly, the elephant 'minions' randomly seemed to multiply without my upgrading them. Secondly, when I left the game and returned to it later, quest items (the teddy and umbrella) that I had previously found and got rid of were back in my inventory, although the quests were still listed as complete. The "Wooly's Flight" quest had also reset itself to the first level- 'find the yellow key in the caves'- which I can't do again as I've already used the key. I'm hoping it'll just continue as normal when I unlock the next bit of it :)
I 'checked in' again with Nancy, who admitted that it wasn't her trophy. She then asked me to take it to Sam. (Mind you, I don't think I ever actually found the trophy, and it wasn't one of the things trailing around after me.) Couldn't find Sam, and my map was no longer showing me anyone's name, and I eventually gave up.
am i not playing this correctly? or is there some grinding involved? because some of those flying things kill me too quickly for it to be practical.. so now i'm just going to keep leveling up for a while before moving on.
On the bright side, there is the "minions" upgrade. So I just got all the minions pretty quickly, then I've been making dinner and letting my minions do all the work =P
My elephant also randomly get stuck on rocks and stuff, the best thing to do if you're stuck anywhere is reload the page then you will be back at the start of that screen. You do get extra miniphants as quest rewards, very useful.
WALKTHROUGH (kind of, more like general help really) As for the upgrades, I never found cantering or swiftness to be of any use, but constitution, miniphant swarm and adrenaline are very useful. Also useful upgrades are weapons, hide armor, acrobatics, quest uptake and credit junkie. It's best to upgrade quest uptake and miniphant swarm early, as they become very useful later on. You need to have level two of acrobatics to get all of the balloons. Spike-readiness is not very useful, especially if you just avoid them all together :)
excelent game! love the whole system. love the point system like ff10 its just an awesome idea that noone uses. these elephant games are the best games ever. (although room escapes and dismantalments are awesome as well)
I have found Nancy's trophy with other websites help. And plus the yellow key think for the Wooly's fight had got me problems too ,but at least the game was fun. ;)

ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous, I'm pretty sure the extra minions came as rewards for finishing some of the quests.
ReplyDeleteI also can't find Nancy's trophy in the clouds area - I've checked each screen at least three times. Where is it?
ReplyDeleteI can't find Nancy's trophy either. Done everything else. Anybody found it?

ReplyDeleteYes, found him there in area 18, while procrastinating yet more :)
ReplyDeleteAfter I went in the clouds, I no longer had a map, even when I got out of it. Anyone else who had this problem?
