sky island

Sky island by Gionathan Pesaresi starts as a normal star collecting platformer, but the ability to change perspective adds a nice puzzle element.

@ Cindy and Olavo,

What? Please share with the rest of us that cannot understand that language. Or, teach it to us... :)

@Anonymous

cindy: "First, finally!"

Olavo: "And congratulations on this tremendous feat, cindy"

I hope that helps. :-)

alstublieft (Belgian?)

@ tam,

What? I can't even get Babel Fish to translate that! LOL!

Già che ci siamo, questo è italiano! (it means: by the way, this is Italian)! So we now know for sure that Bart is internationally known! Well, continentally, at least!! :D

However, very original game! I like it!!

LOL! It must be Write A Post In Another Language Day! I guess that it's just a shame that I only speak English...

Olavo said...

Só prá dizer que o português não pode faltar (Just to say that Portuguese should not be missed) on "Write A Post In Another Language Day"...

Me/You said...

In diesem Fall sollte ich auch was auf Deutsch schreiben!
It means : I have to write something in German!

Ou peut-être devrais-je essayer le français, étant ma langue maternelle :)

"Alstublieft" should be another version of "you're welcome!"... but I am really not sure: I was in beautiful Belgium almost a decade ago :)
Maybe Bart can spread some light?

And for the Bart International Day:
Switzerland loves Bart!

(Nadie por aquí habla español??)

@tam

You are correct! It is "you're welcome".

I think you'd often hear alstublieft when you say thanks after getting your change in a shop for example, or somebody gives you a service.

And you'd hear graag gedaan often when you thank somebody for a favour they've done for you.

But of course, they are used interchangeably! :-)

Dutch (in The Netherlands) and Flemish (in Belgium) are a bit like English English and US English: sort of the same, but different! :-)

(all IMHO)

And the most important thing: it's so cuuuuuute!

Why is everyone talking about languages and not the game?

Cause apparently the game's not worth talking about. I lost interest on level three, I think. Interesting concept, just very badly executed, IMHO.

e onde há um português... há pelo menos 2 (e quem sabe 3) :D

by the way... great concept, but too hard to play

Cool concept, but I lost interest at level 6. Thanks for it anyway, Bart!

Actually "alstublieft" does NOT mean "you're welcome". It can mean either "please" or "here you are" (when giving something).

Belgian (Flemish) here btw.

This is a clever game -- apparently its concept is influenced by a game that isn't out yet called Fez, and Crush and Super Paper Mario, but this is the only one I can play. Some of the jumps are very annoying, though, and there's a big "You missed one jump so you have to replay the whole level" factor.
