devotion
Devotion is a short and bittersweet platformer by K-Kai.
WTF! This game is not fun at all! It's so glitchy! I can't even get past the first screen. I have no control over the charecter. It just keeps running and jumping off of the cliff. This game is an epic fail!
@steve: you need to approach the blue character from under it for the falling screen to end. If you try to reach the blue character from above it, it'll repel you.
I did manage to get a bug in Firefox -- somehow went out of the right edge of the screen while falling into the first hole and wound up in blank screens. Actually at first I thought that was the point.
BORING. Sorry, but this platform is just a few screens of "jump, jump, avoid enemies, jump" and then an ending that feels rather forced and from out of nowhere.
Games can do beautiful and bittersweet. Look at "The Company of Myself" or "Don't Look Back." I felt sad when those ended. This? Just a silly ending that comes from out of nowhere.
Died in love....
ReplyDeleteOulike speletjie. Dankie Bart.

Loved the game and loved the music.
ReplyDeleteHow sad.

ReplyDeleteNot a fun game at all. Character seem to have a mind of its own and jumped when it wanted to and not when I needed it to. Not on my list to recommend.
ReplyDeleteIts a cute game...simple dont have to look at the walkthrough :P lol
ReplyDeletewait... thats it? i expected it to be a bit longer and a bit harder.
ReplyDeleteAwww... Sad. I admit that I cried at the end.
ReplyDeleteMy character and a blue one are falling forever. I can move them up/down, left/right. But it never stops. Is there a walk-through?
ReplyDelete@steve: you need to approach the blue character from under it for the falling screen to end. If you try to reach the blue character from above it, it'll repel you.
ReplyDeleteThat worked. Thanks.
ReplyDeletecliffty -- it seems to me that you just have to touch the blue character three times; doesn't matter which side you do it from.
ReplyDeleteSeriously buggy. I played the game several times and found at least 3 different ways to tie it in knots, so it couldn't be finished.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but I'm not a fan of platformers, especially bad ones.
Nice little game
ReplyDeletethe bugs are mostly on IE. switch to a different browser, like Firefox, and the bugs should be gone. worked for me.
ReplyDeleteHow sad. I liked it though. Thanks Bart. :-) I didn't have any problems or bugs or glitches or anything. I played it on IE.

ReplyDeleteThat game and the ending are really weird. Dont really like it

Kinda cute, a little tricky with the falling screen. @cliffty, thanks that helped a lot!!!
ReplyDeleteEasy to break :/ Had to play it a few times before I knew how to avoid the glitches. Otherwise sweet, but I wish I knew what provoked the ending.
