wheelbox
Help a little robot to collect all parts of a star and to rescue its planet from full darkness in the physics platformer wheelbox by Vladimir Shelud'ko.
The controls aren't so good...while I was playing the robot often wouldn't stop rolling and my controls didn't work but I am not sure if its just my computer.
@Anonymous (2:29): yep. i agree. but it isn't mr. bonte's fault. i've been scouring other game sites and have figured out that the good game designers must be on vacation somewhere.
Really love it! To everyone complaining: do you fully understand that this is in fact a puzzle game? For example in level 2 you don't have to be quick but be clever: place a block on the press so the block gets squached and not you :-)
Love this game. The controls are supposed to be different because you are a one-wheeled robot. One thing that helps is using the down arrow (or S key) as a brake. Unfortunately, I have also hit the glitch on Level 11 where there is no floor where there should be. Anyone have any ideas?
"Little Wheel" was so easy! This one is way to difficult. I've had glictches with the controls, the anamation is very fuzzy. Sometimes the robot will move on it's own without me even touching my keyboard. Maybe once the glitches are worked out it will be more enjoyable.....
Robot moves too slowly for my tastes, and the controls are somewhat awkward. I get that you're controlling a one-wheeled robot, but having to redo levels repeatedly at a snail's pace because the robot's rolling and jumping is so finicky, realistic or not, is not my idea of a good time. I love its look, but I can't say it's among the better games I've played.
I enjoyed this game. Level 11 was a little frustrating.
My least favorite part was how some dangerous objects looked just like the background. You couldn't tell whether you could touch them or walk right through them until you touched them, and then you were dead. Making threats look like the background makes the game less of a puzzle and more just stumbling around in the dark.
Huh? break?? I think I missed something :-s .. but finished the game anyway. Would making games be as frustrating as playing games? Thanks Bart for this great timewaster!
i didnt have any problem with the controls on Google Chrome.. yea you would have to hold it down to get moving, but thats just how the momentum is seeing that it is a wheel..
FIRST!!!! YAYZ OH MY
ReplyDeletebart, i think its not verz good

ReplyDeleteThere is a bug on level 11. I keep falling through the platform below the oscillating saw blades.
ReplyDeleteMastering the fuzzy controls seems to be the real challenge here, not the levels themselves.
ReplyDeleteNice looking design though.
Jack, agreed.
ReplyDeleteI don't like this one very much. The controls are very buggy.
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree with everyone the controls are not precise enough and his jumps are awful. Jumping skills make or break a platforming game for me.
ReplyDeleteThe last few game on here have been lacking the great quality of the ones from a few weeks back. Does any one else agree?

ReplyDeleteas for this game: seems like the graphics are a copy of Little Wheel. Anyone know if this is from the same people?
ReplyDeleteUUUMUMMUMMM I hate controls
ReplyDeleteWhen judging the controls, remember you're a one wheel balancing robot :-)
ReplyDeleteYes it's from the guy that made Little Wheel.
Visually magnificent!
ReplyDeleteI stopped playing after Level 3, as the controls were just too hard to use.
@Cyn
ReplyDeleteI though the same thing and came here to ask but i will go and find out now...
Yeah, the robot is a bit hard to handle, but I like the game!
ReplyDeleteExcellent, love the physics puzzles!

not the BEST game, but its ok.
ReplyDeleteI do not think that this game anything to do with Little Wheel aside from the graphics.

ReplyDeleteThe controls are not glitchy: you are riding on a wheel, remember?
ReplyDeletei liked it bart! woot woot!
ReplyDeletethe game at itself is nice, the character is funny but I hace to say, the controls are rubish :/
ReplyDeleteI WAS 27TH BEST OUT OF EVERYONE WHO PUT IN A SCORE!!! YAY!!! (lol like that is something to scream about)

ReplyDeleteOne of the commenters (BeGamerCom) on Kongregate claimed that he was the co-author of Little Wheel, and that the author of this game was not.
ReplyDeleteHe also issued some very polite criticism, given that this game is clearly a rip off of little wheel, but is much worse!
Disgustingly glitchy. I keep dying for no apparent reason.
ReplyDeleteBart: had you seen this game?

Didn't get past level one. I got too annoyed at the controls, as everyone keeps stressing.

ReplyDeletegreat game and great puzzles...designed to be tough to control...not seeing any glitches other than one on level 11, so can't finish...sad :-S
