the book of living magic

A point and click adventure by Jonas Kyratzes set in the faraway Mountains of Oddness: The book of living magic. (note: if you're not into games with loads of text, you might want to skip this one).

Nice game, but indeed a quite a lot of text for such a relatively short game

Quest for Glory Reference for the win!

Ok, too much text for me, I'm out...

Wonderful game, loved the story, the detail, the humour and references...! Nice puzzles (even if quite easy). Thanks Bart!

Didn't like this one but found "No Place like Home" on the same site.

Wow, this game is really great! Loved all the assorted references- especially the Black Dynamite and Liquid Schwartz ones!

This game needed to have this much writing in it for it to work well. Don't let that put you off if you have the time to play it- the story is a lot of fun!

Yup the heads up on the text thing kept me away from this one. To me it just complicates things plus I won't even read a book let alone read text in a point and click game.

What a delightful, interesting, quirky little game. One of the better "text-heavy" games I've played in a long time. Thanks for sharing this one Bart!

I had a broad smile on my face when I read "you are likely to be eaten by a grue". I wonder how many peaple still know where this phrase is coming from...

What a hilariously fun game! Creative and straight forward.

Even though it had a lot of text, it needed to have all of it to make the atmosphere perfect! The ending made me feel kind of strange, and kept in my mind for hours after

Haha, I like this game! It makes you think about it. My favourite part was that each and every eyeball had a different description (3

Pretty, humorous, and satisfying, both in art and gameplay.

I agree with Thalulla : nice and moving. The text was nicely brought, music really soft, the dreams it brought... Well, well, well... I liked it a lot. Thanks Bart :)
