ouka
Ouka is the latest puzzle game by Yoshio Ishii (soon to be interviewed here, remember). Your task is to find a way to click on a flower blossom in every level.
Is it just me or are some of the levels repetitive on the way to get the star? For example there were a few levels where the star would run from the cursor and all you had to do was right click and move it onto the star?!
I didn't use right click at all...the levels were very clever. Some required you to sneak up on it...others you had to wait for it to come to you. One you had to hold the left mouse button down for a bit...level 11...that was the only one I needed a clue for. I liked t his game. Quick but clever.
I love the hint system here. The hints are vague at best, but set you on the path to the right answer. So don't be ashamed if you had to use a few hints. :)
I had to use the right click once and the hint button twice to get through. But I don't feel ashamed at all. Nice new copncept. Hope to see more of these in the future.
OK, I just played the game again, to make sure...and you do NOT have to use the right click cheat to solve any of the puzzles. They are all solvable by using the left mouse button and your wits! (and hints, of course...because the ones provided truly are hints and not answers)
FIRST!!!!
ReplyDeleteCool New Game!

ReplyDeleteThis is a good game but I'm really disappointed by the fact that for most of the levels all you have to do is right click...
ReplyDeleteIt would have been so much better if that was disabled =]
xx
Kind of dull, but I love the graphics.

nice one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful game
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with lizzie:
ReplyDeletequick but clever
liked it!
good game thx bart
ReplyDeleteI don't think right click was intended as a solution for any of the levels. I suspect it was an oversight that it works.
ReplyDeletefinished with no right click cheating.
ReplyDeleteYes, agreed about the right-clicks. I used left-clicks only. Used "Hint" three times... I'm so ashamed.
ReplyDeleteI L♥VE IT! Yoshio Ishii games are great!
ReplyDeleteHow do get level 15? It's the only one that I can't get even with the hint.
ReplyDeleteNice one, in the same spirit of the star ones... Love those games!
ReplyDeletefound another "cheat" for the ones where the flower moves really fast. when i clicked a bunch of times while chasing it, the program slowed down.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous of 23:50,
ReplyDeleteLevel 15 hint: try to get the star INTO one of the squares.
I used hint button 12 times...I'm 4 times as ashamed as Steven Miller!
I'm glad I played and beat it before reading the comments...The right click thing ruins the game
ReplyDeleteI need help on level four... any help? :)
ReplyDeleteMaggie :)
@ Cyn:
ReplyDeleteI don't think that's a cheat so much as it is intentional. It's the only way to solve at least one of the levels.
@ Maggie: You have to click on the next spot that the flower will jump to.
ReplyDeleteNote to self: Do not read the comments Before playing the game.
ReplyDeleteI've tried it and I don't see how you can't use right click and succeed.
ReplyDeletestuck on level 10.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why anyone would be ashamed to push the hint button. Sometimes its the only way to understand the nature of the obstacle.
loved this new concept :D it's nice to let the star find some places to hide...until we click on the flower :P
ReplyDeleteHOLY FOOF IT'S NOT ABOUT STARS THIS TIME. Anyways, it's pretty easy so far.
ReplyDeleteYep. Easy. Hints help, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the hint system here. The hints are vague at best, but set you on the path to the right answer. So don't be ashamed if you had to use a few hints. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy... WHY WOULD YOU PEOPLE CHEAT? ಥ﹏ಥ
ReplyDelete@k:Thank you for the help! I used the hint button 9 times. :)
ReplyDeleteMaggie:)
it wont load for me
ReplyDeleteI had to use the right click once and the hint button twice to get through. But I don't feel ashamed at all.
ReplyDeleteNice new copncept. Hope to see more of these in the future.
really liked it :)))
ReplyDeletebut i feel like i am reall ystupid... needed 7 hints!!!

Apparently the maker has read the comments. Right-click does nothing now, so the maker must have removed that feature.
ReplyDeleteActually, I just played it today and used right-click when I got too frustrated. As long as the symbol was on the screen, I could click it.
