controlling
Controlling: a retro puzzle platformer where you move with the cursor keys and use the mouse to remove and add blocks by Dan Lin.
seems to be a bug on the second level where the 'no blocks allowed' square appear, where if you go off the edge of the screen to the left you get stuck.
I can't seem to do anything with the mouse. In the first level, anywhere I click I get a sound that (utterly guessing here) seems to indicate I cannot place anything or select anything. Since I can't jump either, how am I supposed to complete the level?
Okay, after fiddling around more and feeling like a fool I have managed to get to the "Things I just didn't understand" level (with the door in the center in a pit and high ledges to either side of the opening that seem "un-landable" to me). Anyone have a hint?
Great game till one level where you have just one block.. then it was kinda impossible to solve for me and now I am very very angry! What a shame, the beginning was great!
Very interesting game, definitely some stumpers. At first I was so stuck on the level with the one block, before I realized the blindingly obvious solution and felt silly. Let's see if I can beat this thing...
...wow... normally I am easily stumped by games that EVERYONE says are easy, but this one was just the opposite... I would post a video walkthrough but I have 3 reasons: A)I am lazy B)I don't know how C)I am afraid someone might hack my computer in some way because of it.
There are levels that don't really require the mouse, perhaps you should try walking in a direction that doesn't seem reasonable? Perhaps a pit isn't a pit at all?
Read the suggestions, thanks for the help! Managed to pass the level but not really sure how (I think I actually jumped down into the pit somehow...). Interesting little game, Bart. Once I figured out the basics, it was fun. Thanks!
If you, like me, got stuck for 15 minutes at the first level because you were trying to add or remove blocks and couldn't: the trick is not in clicking, but in using the "a" key.
For those stuck on the level with only one block: you actually do not need the block at all
Seems fun so far as I just got into it, will give it a fair shake I think.
ReplyDeletenot bad

ReplyDeleteno idea how to solve it either way...

ReplyDeleteFor the "----" level :
ReplyDeleteWhen you press yourself against a wal, you hang on it. Jump off inward and you will land in the pit.
If stuck, R key is your friend.
having re-visited the game, i'm stuck in the same level as -k.
ReplyDeletePOP. somehow managed to get on top of the top island in the middle as slide down the side. pretty sure i already tried that.
ReplyDeletetook me a while and a little frustration but, i finished it good time waster before my dressrehearsal. thnx bart!
ReplyDeleteJack'd and -K, walk to the left. The blocks mentioned are a couple levels later.
ReplyDeleteAnnoying game! ;-)

ReplyDeleteomg im so stupid thank you so much!! now im on the level that everyone is stuck on with the one block.
ReplyDeleteNot too hard, quite fun. Would prefer it wasn't so tiny.
ReplyDeleteHint: One block goes way up on the left, to support a double wrap.
I don't know how the controls work. Can somebody explain?
