unreal
The door is firmly locked and it's up to you to solve all the puzzles to escape in unreal by Factory112.
Okay, I must be dense. I've made it all the way to the end. I know how to set the 4-digit code . . . but what do I set it to? I tried 1200 (considering that the clock only has two positions) but that didn't work. Where do I find out what the final 4-digit code is?
Uh, never mind -- somehow the code appeared in the middle of the water. I have NO IDEA what I did to make that happen. It wasn't there the first dozen times I looked . . . then suddenly it was. (What the heck did I do?)
I give up on this one. You kill yourself to find a button and then you press it and it doesn't do anything. Very frustrating. I don't see any way this one can be accomplished except through brute trial and error. That's not a game, that's combat.
For those of us more accustomed to the sort of puzzles found in TessHI's games, this one might have thrown us a bit of a twist. But I figured it out eventually.
For those who are stuck, a gentle hint: figure out exactly what the four buttons in a row do.
I had to resort to the video walkthrough in the end, and the "four-button function" spoiler helped, though I think I could have figured that out eventually.
But the final code puzzle was very frustrating. I don't find it logical in how you get the 4-digit code to show up.
* * * SPOILERS AHEAD * * *
I really find it rather illogical that the button for the code display box must be pressed in order for the button to reveal the code in the water-filled tower thing to work. If it needed a button to be pressed on the "master machine," it seems more consistent with the game logic that it should be the button for the wall in which the water tower is actually located.
And I also found it frustrating that you could toggle some of the 4-digits all the time, and others would only toggle when the wall was activated by depressing the corresponding button on the four-button machine.
Watched the Walkthough and it STILL didn't make sense to me... but then I've already admitted I'm useless at escape games. I like to keep trying though. I managed Bart's 40x Escape first time of trying - without any help! Yay ME! lol
Wow, even watching the walkthrough, I still don't know how you're supposed to figure out the correct combination of buttons to press to get the final code to be revealed. I had figured everything out up til that part...with the hint about each button corresponding to a wall. Tough one! Liked it, except for that non sequitor.
i think the problem with this game was that it was extremely difficult to tell what any of the buttons did. like, you click a bunch of buttons and then you notice something changed but have no idea what button did what. i think this problem came from the fact that usually when a button causes something to happen, a noise is made that indicates that something happened, so you don't just click a bunch of buttons random hoping that something happens. definitely not a game that i'd recommend! XP
To Unknown: The buttons on the wall only change the numbers on the four-digit display when that wall is deactivated.
But yeah, getting the numbers out of the pipe made no sense to me even after I figured out how it works. That just not something it makes any sense to do for me.
Bart, I found a game I thought might be good to share:

Kind of hard to describe. The theme is a bit like "Coma" but darker and with dangerous traps. (I think my character died about 30 times before I finished it.)
Thanks for the response. There seems to be a smaller and smaller pool of good games for you to post lately. I've even browsed other gaming sites in my little bits of free time and haven't found much that was different or done well.

ReplyDeletenevermind, ok now !
ReplyDeleteThe game seems to be getting a lot of traffic. Try refreshing a couple of times to get it.
ReplyDeleteFirts
ReplyDeleteI mean "First"...(was too excited to be the one...)
ReplyDelete*Spoiler*
ReplyDeleteThe four button control switches on the switches/functions of each wall.
...The rest is easy
*Spoiler*
Good game. Liked this one. Need to take time to understand exactly what happens when you press a particular button
ReplyDeleteit's either too hard or too easy and im not getting the hang of it :S
ReplyDeleteYou must use a couple items twice. The buttons are the key to changing the final code to get the door key.
ReplyDeletegotta be one of only a few i managed without any hints lol

ReplyDeleteI don't really want a spoiler -- just a hint as to where I'm supposed to be looking for this final 4-digit code.

ReplyDeleteThis was short but complex. Just puzzles no pixel hunting. A few good twists that kept the puzzles challenging but not impossible. Thanks Bart.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I clicked was the plant. What do I need? A screwdriver! haha!! Fun game, Bart.

Really liked this one, Bart! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeletequite too difficult for me, even if I figured out some of the clue :(
ReplyDeleteIf the puzzles aren't impossible, then can some post a walkthrough, a hint, a something? I have less than squat.
ReplyDeletePS: The "four buttons of the walls" hint? It ain't helping
ReplyDeletePPS: Never mind, got out. Man, that was annoying
ReplyDeleteWow, finished it without a walkthrough or hints! Pretty logical game once you catch on...
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I go about the 4x4 keyboard which perspective is it?
ReplyDeleteWHAT IS THE CODE?!?!?! Please help me!
ReplyDeleteWOOT! Finished with no hints or walkthroughs! I must be getting better :)
ReplyDeleteThe button part to get the code is quite tricky but once you get how it works it's easy peasy
ReplyDeleteP.S: When the clock is on 12h00, it doesn't have anything to do with anything in getting any code. Forget it.
Whoa, that was tricky! But I managed to escape by myself! :)

ReplyDeletedefinitely not a game that i'd recommend! XP
Love those Tetsuo in the Room games. If only Home Sweet Home 2 had an English version.
ReplyDeleteThis one short but also sweet.
Hint:
When the button is down, it's "functional"; when up, button presses register on counter.

Thanks for the suggestion Cyn! I saw that one too but didn't like it that much, because it was rather slow and indeed all the dying.

ReplyDeleteOr maybe I'm just getting more selective :)
ReplyDeleteI know how to change the numbers, but I don't have a code >__<
ReplyDelete7126 is final code. If it shows up in the water I don't know how ,as I can't examine it after I used it.
