the rescue operation

The latest escape the room game by Gotmail has arrived. Have you got what it takes to escape in the rescue operation?

Stuck after getting pipe.... I can't find any clues anywhere aside from the side of drawer chest.

Interesting Escape, though it took longer to actually start doing things than I expected. Thanks for this one, Bart!

Anon: Try using the pipe near the small cabinet that is in the alcove with the door and umbrella stand.

Hi everyone

Good escape game (but I found it too difficult using the remote control: a bit of pixel hunting) and yes, I used most of the time looking for the very first hint :P
Thank you, Bart!

Stuck with a key and a pipe filled with yellow powder, a ball and charcoal.

OTTFFSSENTET?

tam said...

@Coreena:
you probably already figured out that the code for OTTFFSSENTET is very elementary: think of the basic. It's one of the first things you learn at school :)

Anonymous said...

this is stupid any hints on how to find the first hint?

@ Tam: I really don't have a clue. Is it English? If you mean the ABC, I don't get F:S. Help!

Coreena: The letters are the first letter of each of a series of words. There is an object in the room with you that, in another form, represents all of those words.

Hint: There are 12 letters...

@Coreena:

it's like ABC... but it's "the other" basic thing that you learn (even before) school :)
And yes, it is in English.
In Italian (my language) it would be:
UDTQCSSOND...
UDTCCSSOND in Spanish (very similar, you see?)
And I've put here only ten letters to help ;)

F:S --> once you've solved the previous riddle, look at the card with all the letters and colors and find the corresponding position.
Maybe it helps if I tell you that you use "F:S" on the clock.

Good luck!

Now I get it! Thanks for not spoiling the whole question :-).
Not finished yet, but curious...
PS: In my language it is ETDVVZZANTET

Finished! I didn't realize I was so close to the ending.

made it on my own....
Nice game, Bart!

Ugh. I hate games where the cursor never changes, and you have to look behind/under/over/next-to/beside/between/or-any-other-obscure-vicinity-of one or two things. That feels less like a puzzle and more like copying words out of the dictionary.

@Coreena:
Dutch? :)

SasiSneak said...

in german: OTTFFSSENTET = EZDVFSSANZEZ ;)

Coreena said...

@ Tam: I speak Dutch, but i'm not Dutch. I guess I live nearby Bart Bonte ;-)

@SasiSneak: I really, really get it now :-)

Merry Christmas to all of you, and a happy New Year.

@Coreena:
then it must be Vlams! Good for you :) Excellent place for excellent chocolate!
Here a quiz for you:
I speak Italian but I am not Italian: can you guess where I am?

dyork said...

Probably Switzerland, but Italian is an official language in many other countries too.

The pope speaks Italian but is not Italian. Are you the pope?

tam said...

@dyork:
I'm more a Swiss guard than a pope, you're right :P

Puzzles are fun, randomly clicking in the hope that something might happen is NOT.

Someone needs to tell these game authors that pixel hunting is just boring. Make the puzzles as hard as you like, but make it easier to find them.

Yes, I needed the walkthrough twice and only because I couldn't find the magic spot to click.

Anonymous said...

I agree, the game is easy enough, but for the small areas to click on to open the way forward. Most games use the pointer/hand clue.

Couldn't find where to use the remote control because the red spot was hidden in the "back" bar. I didn't like the way the game was littered with objects that looked like they ought to be something but weren't, like how can there not be something hidden in the plant?

Still it was a nicely written walkthrough.
