checkbox
The 21 levels of the experimental puzzler checkbox by Ty Taylor contain nothing but checkboxes.
I'm stuck on the level with four checkboxes, one that always stays there, two more that I can't click on no matter how many different ways and times I do it, and one of to the side that I checked. ???
In my last comment, I meant 21, not 20- the last level. Anonymous @ 3:53, you are supposed to fill up the whole board with minuses. You can make checks in groups of 4, that can connect adjacently, but not diagonally. You can't change checks once you make them, and if you cut off a group of blocks that is not a multiple of four, then you will have to start over. Did that make sense? Please tell me if anything was unclear.
Tried messing with Silverlight, eventually gave up. Personally, I say if you can't do a game in Flash or HTML5, it probably wasn't supposed to be an in-browser game.
Got horrifically stuck on the level where every click places or removes all checkmarks in that row/column. No matter what, there was always two boxes that were blank, and when I tried to make them blank again, no matter what, there was two boxes that had checkmarks. There was no restarting, and I just discovered there is no saving either.
So, no suggestions for the level of 12 boxes where every click places/removes all checkmarks in the corresponding row and column? Well that's just PERFECT!
Interesting, up until tic-tac-toe.
ReplyDeleteNooo it needs Microsoft Silverlight!! Too bad :(
ReplyDeleteManaged to get through it, that last "run" with the monsters was tougher than I expected. Good game, despite the tic-tac-toe. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this one, Bart!
Can't figure out the 7 by 7 square (level 10 or 11??), any hint ?
ReplyDeleteIt was level 16 and I just needed to put a check on each line and/or column.
ReplyDeleteFirst!

ReplyDeleteAlso, the one off to the side and one of the one I can't click keep disappearing and reappearing.
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the biggest "First!" fails I've seen. Actually 6th. Anyway, GREAT game, reminds me of your Me and the Key games Bart!
ReplyDeleteVery good game, thanks, bart!
ReplyDeleteEven with Silverlight installed on this Mac, the game will not run on Firefox. I suppose I'll have to pass on playing this one.
ReplyDeleteThat was an awesome game! Level 20 was epic!
ReplyDeleteCool so far. But WTF is up with the one with the 8x8 square with all the minuses? What am I even supposed to be doing?
ReplyDeleteNot even going to waste my time trying to figure out some nonsense that can't be figured out.

For mac users, it appears this game only works in Safari. Neither Chrome nor Firefox work.

ReplyDeleteAll "first!" posts are fails.
stuck on level 10 with the 3x3 boxes. Seems like the right box is supposed to match left box, but can't figure out the pattern.
ReplyDeleteThere's one in the middle of the page. I can't do anything with it?
ReplyDeleteThis game was fantastic! It did work in Chrome for me, too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat do I do on the level with the mirror checkboxes? I can't click anything!!
ReplyDeleteJust when I think I've figured out the game... How the bleep do I get past the lake-of-death? They're *everywhere*!!!
ReplyDeleteIs there some "safe" zone off-screen?
Won't load for me.

On a mac.. in Firefox.. Working fine.. ??..

Okay, mistake: When I said "when I tried to make them blank again," I meant the whole puzzle:
ReplyDeleteSilverlight can get Effed
ReplyDeleteMicro soft silver light just sounds like an old man's dirty parts.
ReplyDeleteHey chefsinger, if you thought that "First!" was bad, check out Candy Room 4!

For tic tac toe try corner then mid.
ReplyDeletefor level 10 (two 3*3) think "slider puzzle"
ReplyDeleteOn the level with 3*4 that inverts row & column (12?). Try to get 2/3, again & again.
ReplyDeleteLevel 17 is just "connect 4" game.
ReplyDeleteThen we have knight jumper.
ReplyDeleteLevel 20 is just color it in with one line, not "Epic".
ReplyDeleteOK lv. 21 is Amazingly long.
ReplyDeletelv. 22? O I C U R A QT 2
"On the level with 3*4 that inverts row & column (12?). Try to get 2/3, again & again."
ReplyDeleteHOW IS THAT HELPING?

Just saw the last level.
ReplyDeleteReally worth it going there.
Only made it the lake of death.
