locked room 2
The door is locked and you need to find a way to escape, it's locked room 2 by Nekonote.
The Nekonote sites is very busy for the moment, so if you get the 'Service Temporarily Unavailable' page, refresh a couple of times until you get the game.
Well...I'm lost. I have the four tiles, the bundle of sticks, and the matches. I know the tiles are card ranks and fit in the top of the box but not the order, and I assume the bundle of sticks go in the post to be used as a ladder but I can not get them apart.
to the Anon at 25 February 2014 18:36 : the notebook contains a time and three shapes, you'll need a pencil to get the time. The clock gives you the rest of the hint.
jaymar, I don't think the first clue is anything important, probably a red herring. The second one is subtracting what you get if you think about the spelling of the number.
Can't figure out the 3-digit code from the clock times. I have tried every possible relationship I could think of between the two times.
All too often in this type of game there is no logical relationship between clues that go together, and that seems to be the case here. To me, it fails as a game if trial and error is the only way to progress.
To "Anonymous 26Feb 8:10" No guessing is required on the 3-digit number. There is a second clue that goes with the clock. I agree with you, trial and error along with pixel hunting are "fails" for escape games.
A good game, decent number of puzzles and nice graphics. I thought it odd I got the key to the door so soon but since that was not the exit door it made sense. Thanks Bart.
clock was evil. Here's how to solve: fat hand=hour, middle=minute skinny=second. order is triangle, circle, square. so translate your time to single digits aka 30=6 and enter in the order the shapes show.

Square, hour hand, 13:__:__ is '1' because at 13:00 the hour hand is on 1. Circle, minute hand, __:30:__ is '6' because at anything:30, the minute hand is on 6. Triangle, second hand, __:__:45 is '9' because - well, it should be clear now.
Shapes in book show the order is triangle, circle, square, so the three digit code is 961.
So in other words, the actual time being shown on the clock means absolutely nothing. Silly me, I assumed it was relevant and that it had to be combined somehow with the time from the notebook.
Thanks for the explanation, but I still find it incredibly arbitrary.
I had to watch the "screwdriver-code" part of the walkthrough video FOUR times before I figured out why the combination worked...and I've been playing these kinds of games for quite a while!
Brute-forced the tile code, needed the walkthrough for the screwdriver code...I still don't know what the -8 was about...did it have to do with the letters in the words??? Went pixel hunting with the screwdriver just about everywhere, and that's how I got the mirror and the glass.
Good game, lots of puzzles which I like, but not as logical as it could be. Thanks, Bart!
Sorry but you're wrong. The clock is there to tell you which hands relate to which shapes. The numbers there don't matter, which is probably what was making you think it was "illogical". The code is in the book and makes complete logical sense.

I have a bundle of something from when I opened the hatch with the silver key, could someone tell me what it is so I can figure out how to use it?

I managed to climb up. I have only a red key, but nothing else. Somebody have a hint, please? (sorry for my english)
Hint for the playing card clues: ace is low, not high.
To "eightoclock" - you'll find the tool you need, you have to solve the playing card clues.

this is the worst escape game ive ever played. everything is illogical.

This game is well made, except for being too clever with the clue disguising.

need help with the tile cards please someone....
I got the card suit clue and the clock clue fairly easily. Don't know what to do to get the screwdriver out of the drawer.
Did it!! Only had to have walkthrough help with the screwdriver in the drawer. Yay

Not entirely fair. The suits/time/cards puzzles really could be anything -- brute force required.
Screwdriver unsatisfying too. After the event they make sense, maybe, but before that it's just lots of guessing.
