1st!
Interesting game. The sequencing aspect reminds me of factory balls.
Level 22 (area 1) has an issue: the solution requires a blank space, but the goal image has a cream colored space where the blank in the required solution is. Definitely not something I could have resolved based upon the image. :(
Other than that, it was fun! Thanks for sharing this one, Bart! :)
It's impossible for me to play. There's an error message covering the whole playing area. Is there another link I can use?
What is the error message saying?
It has something about "There is no BitmapData with an ID". I can see the game through the error message but I can't play it.
Here's a new game for you! I think the original was posted when it came out. http://www.freeworldgroup.com/g/i/shapefold-2.htm
Maybe you have an older Flash player? Get the latest here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
I just uploaded the new one and I'm still getting the error message. Maybe I'm not meant to play this one. :/
Interesting, but getting boring after awhile.
corrupted... updated flas and still have the screen covered with the error message... playing on firefox
ha! but i can get it to play on chrome!
I think the error message has to do with something in Firefox. It plays fine in Chrome. I have no ad blocker in either instance, so it's something in Firefox specifically.
WOO! I got it to work in Google Chrome!
The error does not have to do with firefox. I have internet explorer, yet still I get the error.
could you tell me what kind of game this would be called? I like playing these games where you have to actually use your brain. But when searching for other games like this, I am not finding any. So if you could give me an idea of what they are called, maybe my search would get some results. Thank you for your time.
So, just solved level 12 (area 3), or should I , somehow put all the pieces spot on and got the result, but somehow wasn't good enough for THEM.
Okay, got past level 12 (area 3), but now level 16 (area 4) is pulling the same stunt. I don't think I've sworn this hard at such a game before.
Just finished the game, but as a note: level 12 (area 3): You must put the two dark blue pieces starting from the top. level 16 (area 4): You must select the smallest light blue piece. For neither level is there a hint that those are the correct, and only answers. Stupidest thing I've ever seen from FWG.
Other than that, it's a nice game.
I think there's a bug, cause i sometimes find the exactly shape but nothing happens next... i think there are sometimes several solutions but the engine does validate just one... too bad

Eric, I haven't encountered that problem. As far as I can tell it just looks at the result, without regard to shape order. Are you absolutely certain there wasn't some small difference? And that your final shape was in the exact same position as the goal shape?
Tom, I can assure you there is only one valid solution to these problems. For instance, you can try both of my solutions (seen in the comment before Eric's) and let me know how that turns out.
2nd-to-last level on Area 3, there ARE two solutions, but only one is recognized by the game. Exact same pieces but in slightly different order. Yes, I double checked that they were indeed identical. Only level so far that *I* have encountered so far where this is the case. That being said, I really do like this game. Relaxing in that there is nothing like "stars" to collect or timers to beat and no score to achieve. You just solve the puzzles. Thanks Bart. :)
Simple and fun, but how many levels does it go up to? LOL, getting that never ending song in my head.
PS, using Firefox, no probs, no bugs, just lots of "perfects" - gotta like that. :)
Thanks Bart!
LD.
Hi, I have tried some of the cases that were cited, and confirmed that sometimes valid solutions aren't recognized due to the order in which the pieces were placed. I find this very surprising, and difficult to understand. Why doesn't it just check the final pattern, ignoring placement order?
That having been said, I *have* encountered cases where more than one placement order was accepted. Just not all of them. For example, level 7 in area 1. This one is all one color, so any placement order should work, and in fact the two obvious orders do work. But in this one, you can include redundant pieces in the solution (either of the same color or even a different color which is masked), which breaks it.
This all suggests that the author has a set of recognized solutions for each puzzle, and that some of those solution sets are incomplete. How odd.
As I supposed when I startet to play, it's buggy by design.
It doesn't check whether the result (covered colors) is correct, but whether you put the tiles in the correct order. For this reason a senseless game, because in some cases it is just luck to get the correct order.
You can proof the design error, when you have a situation where two tiles don't overlap. Nobody can see which one is in the foreground, but you can touch and move only one of them. So you have to do trial and error ...
Alltogether a poor algorithm, because it doesn't match all correct solutions.
@MiMi13: This genre is known as a "puzzle game" on most sites.
Unfortunately, I found it incredibly boring. But obviously you guys are enjoying it, so I'm happy for you. :)
There is no BitmapData with an ID ### covers the game with an overlay of errors. Glad to see I am not the only one getting problems (& it is not even UNITY crap)
Assets.hx:122:[openfl.assets] There is no BitMapData asset with an ID of "assets/img/for panel/Lvl58/scale1.png"
Repeats to Lvl100 down & overlapping the game.
Need help with level 14 of area 2. I'm getting the pattern, but it's not accepting it.
Interesting. I like this one.
K, I think I solved the level you were talking about, and the picture is correct.
The last one was one of the easiest.
Assets Error too, I'm using Chrome =(
It was made by the same person btw
