Since the bontegames blog was born back in 2007 the look of this site has not changed much. But today after 2045 posts and 16085194 pageviews I decided it was time for some fresh paint! So please enjoy the brand new bontegames!All my games are in the left column and all the navigation things are in the right column. Another new feature I'm busy adding (back tracking 2045 posts) is labels below each post, which will allow you to quickly get all the posts from a certain developer or from a certain game series, give it a try!
So enjoy, and please let met know if you like the new look. Do you want to see more things that you think are missing? Let me know in the comments!

Hey Bart. Like the new look. Still easy to navigate. Every body likes a new suit to wear now and then. Thanks for all the cool game links over the years. I like your games and how they have evolved. Less platformers, more escapes for my taste.

The new site theme looks better than the old one, but I think that this comments page need revamping, since when you click "4 comments" it redirects you to blogger.com and not the actual blog post.

ReplyDeleteI personally like platformers more than escapes, but to each their own. You do a pretty good job of finding a balance between all the types of games for me.

So the style is pleasing but the functionality is a backward step. Please consider.

ReplyDeleteI have one small comment which I hope it can be helpful; in the new look, when you search for a label, there is no counter for how many post are there, not even how many pages to show those post, so when you scroll down the page and press "older posts" - which is ALWAYS there, you will end up in a page saying "NO POSTS WITH LABEL XXXX".
Other than that I find the new look amazing.

ReplyDeleteEnjoying your site very much, thanks for keeping it high energy, it fills a need for collections of good quality indie games especially now that jayisgames have had to slow things down. One thing that I’d enjoy seeing is labels to sort the games by category: platformer, puzzle, escape &cetera. Keep on trucking!
