Jay, check around the sides of some of the devices in the room. One of them takes the battery.
That was a tough one and I tried a second time through to avoid the Happy Coin (for a different ending) and couldn't do it, is there no second ending to this one?
I did really enjoy it though and want to thank you, Bart, for sharing it with us! :)
I was doing good until the heart code and had to go looking for help. After that, things seemed to fall into place.
rubber band, electric drill, and a squeaky hammer... what next? clicking around hopelessly here...

I was stuck a couple of time (the hearth code, the bamboo... duh...) and had great fun with this game!
I wandered around with an empty inventory except for one little coin for the longest time...then I tilted my head, and voila! It all came together after that...at least once I realized that there were digits missing from all three numbers on the piano heart. Duh. Great game...they're always tricky, but doable.
stuck with 9 coins, can't figure out what I'm missing! Got big hammer (used), box (opened... twice), squeaky hammer/water pistol (used), silver key (used), screwdriver (used), drill (used), bamboo (used), gold key (used).
I have opened every box and drawer and locked thing and figured out the water-box thing and I just can't figure out where I missed something! I guess I'll have to find a walkthrough....
Angela Use the squeaky hammer again on the + birdies when they pop out.

Ok, the heart code got me stuck, I had to look for help... after that everything was fine!

Got stuck after I hit the birds. I got the coin & could close it's hatch, Also I could go open the battery cover & return, but I can't get the battery or move away to finish the game.
so if we cash in 10 happy coins for that eleventh one it must be gold or some super extra happiness coin.
Also if your stuck with no clue in your heart, then use no clue in your heart.
Okay, I'm feeling really stupid right now, because I have one happy coin from the (SPOILER) fruit bowl and I'm stuck.
For me the heart code was easy; but it took me forever to figure out the clue of the bookcase.
Oh, and I'm out. :)
K, I think it is impossible to get the key without the happy coin.
No second ending. :(
