minnano hoshi saga 3
The hunt for stars continues, Yoshio Ishii made another episode of his star hunting puzzler: minnano hoshi saga 3. The levels were contributed by fellow Japanase game designers and are Christmas themed this time.
Wow, it's so cute! When you load the title screen for the first time the girl on the left says "merry~" and the one on the right says "yay!"(note: that's what she had always said in all previous minna no hoshi sagas))). And then when you click start button the first one says "it's not _yay_ it's _christmas_, right?-_-". And the second girl answers "sorry.. it was out of habit.." XD
I was glad to see that there were some nice puzzles in this one. As always the star is never so easy to find...but what are you suppose to do with the music note = # level? Even in the walkthrough they giveup on that level. Thanks Bart.
For level 16 (the mini game): you'll get different results in the mini game depending on the name of your character (I've found different results for Star, Cat, Santa and Christmas).
[SPOILER] However, you don't need to play the game. Wait until your character has a gift in front of them, then type in "open" instead of a name.
How do i change it to english?
ReplyDeleteYou can't, there's generally no language barrier.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff...hoshi saga!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if there was an English version.

no language barrier - until you ask for a hint
ReplyDeleteAt least some levels have Japanese content that may or mat not help... guessing was the best I could do :-(

ReplyDeleteThe number of the music note puzzle is key to solving it.

I haven't figured out the one with the music note yet, but I can confirm that it definitely isn't "let the music play 28 times". You're welcome.
ReplyDeleteThe music in the note puzzle is actually irrelevant.
ReplyDeleteOr rather I should say the music PLAYING is.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I've figured it out. For the music note level, change the volume to 28 before selecting the level, and you get the star automatically. Dreadful.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Rage quit. :|
ReplyDeleteThe banana one was quite weird.
ReplyDeleteThis Game Is Good But Is Impossible To Find The Star!
ReplyDeleteIn level 16, if you name your character "Estrella" (Star in Spanish) there's a chance of getting the amulet.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I tried it and it's true.
