beneath the lighthouse

A serene puzzle action game about a boy in search of his lost grandpa: beneath the lighthouse (previously only available on mobile) by Nitrome. (note: this is a Unity game so it won't work in Chrome)

  6. Ohh, duh, I had overlooked that this was a Unity game. That's why it doesn't work for me. Unity doesn't run on Linux.

  7. ..... I would prefer the arrow key to move instead of the mouse.
But the game is really cute and very cool though.

  8. Not my cup of tea. Too much a test of my marksmanship, not enough of my intellect.

  9. Strange, I tried this yesterday (on Firefox) and I got the advert and then the Unity screen was taking forever to load and it eventually crashed the browser. I also tried it on IE and the same thing happened. Tried it today and it doesn't load at all, I also tried some of their other games and they crash my Firefox browser, no idea why as everything is up to date! It doesn't sound like I missed out on much though.

  10. I am loving this! I am at level 31 and no end in sight. I need a break though. Beautiful music, scenery a tad pixelated, but the puzzles are interesting. I am really enjoying myself. Thanks, Bart!!

  11. I'm at level 39 right now and have to report a bug. Sometimes, in the higher levels, the triangle doesn't turn back into my guy and the sublevel is stuck. I can't move anything. And the annoying part is that this usually happens at sublevel three. So if I restart the level it starts me at the first of the sublevels, not at the one I was working on. So that's a bit frustrating.
PS: Sublevel three of level 39 is sooo hard. Wonder if I'll ever get it...

  12. So far I've failed to figure out what the object of the game is! Someone please explain?

  13. Well, according to Bart, he's looking for his grandpa. Maybe you find that out with a reunion at the end of the game or something.

Stupid thing keeps freezing. I keep having to refresh and lose all my progress on the level, and most of the time when I do that it won't load. Not my type of game anyway. I would've preferred if it had been done with the arrow keys, with the mouse I find it really annoying.

  14. Finished it (40 levels with 3 sub levels each).
Grandpa, the old fossil, took off with his boat. That's why our little man couldn't find him. But grandpa heard all the commotion the bombs made and returned to the light house. So yes, hugs and all is well. Even the rain stopped :)

  15. Thanks Emily! I guess it's not working properly for me then, and the intro video won't play either.

  16. None of my browsers will let me run the unity plugin due to it's vulnerabilities.
I hope nobody who is able to enjoy this game gets sick or whatever.
