escape the cake cafe
Funkyland is back with a new escape the room game: can you solve all the puzzles and escape the cake cafe?
Very nice one : longer than usual - and easy but interesting. I like when it takes a little time to find the first items. And when their use is not immediate. Thank you Bart.
This was a bit more complex than than usual, and it took me a while to realize you can view and interact with your inventory! Once that was discovered, it was easy and fun. First rule of escape games...if it stays in your inventory...it must be important. =) And now I want cake.
Used my brainbox for that one but made it after a few spins around the cafe. I personally would put the sign out side or on the door. (so your not swamped with cardboard cutouts of people who don't have any money.)
So much time wasted trying to solve the flower puzzle using the colours from the up/down cups as a clue... but overall I really loved this one. And in the end, there was cake ^.^
You're not going to be able to see the sign from your car. You might see it if your peeking in the window & there is nobody in the way. Most likely your going to figure it out by seeing people first. I would expect the door being open &,or unlocked might work as well.
Shhhh ! I Think I hear Bart coming. . ... ..........................? Nope. ... Ok now I am real worried. ... BART !!! WE NEED YOU ! PLEASE COME BACK TO US !
I love these Funkyland games, thanks for sharing this new one! Had a slow start but I'm out! Shout if you need some help!
ReplyDeleteNice to see a new Funkyland series! This one has a few more views than some of the other series.
ReplyDeleteThat was really tricky until I found out
ReplyDelete*spoiler*
You could combine items!!
Very nice, I love the Funkyland games they are so creative, bright, cheerful with great scenes and music, loving the Parisian feel of this one!

ReplyDeleteThank you Bart.
I GET STUCK WITH JUST A KNIFE AND A SQUEGEE
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, you could use your knife to cut some string. That gives you access to a clue for some cake directional riddle.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've been missing the Funkyland games, wondering if they were going to stop turning up.

ReplyDeleteI was stuck until I realized half the items on the menu had strawberries. Then it was easy :)
ReplyDeleteI also want cake now though
ReplyDeleteVery good. A bit longer than a coffee break but at least you can save your progress and come back to it.
ReplyDeleteYay for a new Funkyland game! I have missed these.
ReplyDeleteNot too easy, not too hard, not too long. And yes, now I'm out, I want cake too :-/
hooray, I did it all by myself - definitely deserve cake now :)
ReplyDeleteUsed my brainbox for that one but made it after a few spins around the cafe.

What you take out of the cash register is not the only thing. Look for a clue as well.
ReplyDeleteOnce I did that everything else fell into place.
fun!
ReplyDeletebut i must be a bit rusty 'cause i needed a nudge on the clue inside the cash register...
i kept thinking "grey"... silly me :)
thanks, bart!

Found it hard to pick up the red seed.
What use is a sign saying "we're open" if you hang it up inside?
ReplyDeleteYou're not going to be able to see the sign from your car.

Maybe they're not open?
ReplyDeleteShhhh !

PLEASE COME BACK TO US !
you are making a new game now.
ReplyDeletedon't you?
I'm OK :)
ReplyDeleteIt's just a very quiet period for good new games...
Had a surprisingly easy time with this one. The hardest part of all was dealing with the sheer number of ad scripts running on the Funkyland website.
ReplyDeleteWow, that one threw me for a bit, mainly because I think this is the first Funkyland game I've played where you can (and must) combine items!
ReplyDeleteI also didn't realize the menu was the strawberry hint.
So I'm glad I stopped by this thread or I would've been banging my head against the wall. :)
