escape an ocean view ryokan [browser]
In the latest escape the room game by Funkyland you find yourself in a traditional Japanese inn with lots of puzzles to be solved before you can get out: escape an ocean view ryokan.
Out. It was a nice but tricky one, I must say, and a little bit of pixel hunting I did not like so much... Seems there are two endings - I did the "white one", will do the other when I get some time.
The view where you uses the grabber was tough to find (I kept trying the ceiling, which is the typical location for faraway things in Funkyland), but other than that...not too tricky. I am going to try the other ending now. =)
I tried saving the game to get the second ending, but it remembers all of my previous solutions, so I don't know if it's supposed to be different. Still, always happy when funkyland puts out a new game. Anyone know what the Japanese writing says on the TV when the choice comes around?
I'm pretty sure the two endings just have to do with which meal you would like to order. If you want to eat beef after your escape, enter the white number. If you want to eat crab, enter the red number. It doesn't matter much to the game, but I think it's a cool touch!
Out.

Well just did the red ending, no real difference.
ReplyDeleteGah - so convoluted! Very nearly gave up!

ReplyDeleteMuch harder than the Girls Room and Fruit Kitchen series. I'll have to come back to this later when I can give more time to it.

ReplyDeleteSigh . . . I feel so dumb. I can't even find the second battery to get started. One's in the drawer; where's the other?
ReplyDeletePK, in case you haven't found it, check the arms of the chairs.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lizzie! That did it for me.

ReplyDeleteLove this, but having a little trouble with the H and M, Any tips?
ReplyDeleteJW, Dice light.
ReplyDeleteThanks my Anonymous Pal!! I didn't even realise it was a light (derp) Off to finish now. XX
ReplyDelete@Lizzie: Only one chair has an arm that opens, and that's where I found the remote. The other chair's arm does not open.
ReplyDelete@PK one battery is easy to find... some drawer...
ReplyDeleteFor the other battery: check the table with tea cups, the clue is where the box is...
I have red card for door in level one but when I click on door with it it wont give me the key to open it. Help?
