Another amazing Ludum Dare 38 game jam entry: Cathode way by Carl Hughes, Shaun Reed, Gareth Williams and Paul Yendley merging a first person exploration game on an island and a puzzle platformer that you play on the television screens that are scattered around the island. Move around the island with the cursor keys and the mouse and click the mouse to active/deactivate the screens. On the screens you activate switches with the up key and jump with the spacebar.

This game is so ammazing! Love it, thanks for sharing Bart!
Takes a while to load but it's well worth the wait!
How cool is that?!
I mean, on the one hand, that was kind of impressive, especially for 48 hours. But on the other hand, that's an awful lot of trouble to go through to play a bad platformer.
Oh, and invisible walls still aren't okay (or one-foot high unjumpable fences for that matter).
The platforming sucks. The little dude auto runs randomly. I got by that gate, and I just gave up, too much work trying in vain to make they little person not run into a wall and jump on time.
The dude didn't autorun over here. I think it's a clever idea very well executed for a jam game.
I got stuck at the rock with the first screen on it and couldn't move away to go after the next screen. I'm not sure I want to wait another five-to-ten minutes with a stagnant loading bar, and besides, it's lagging so much it might crash my computer. It's a shame, because it looks really cool and something I'd want to play.
Restart #2, here I come. This time I got all the way to the elevator before getting stuck in the parapet wall trying to get a view. Aside from the getting stuck in walls and the lag, it really is a cool game.
Ah, I was muuuuch closer than I thought. 48 hours will only stretch so far. I'd really like to see a post-Jam version.
@GoatSie, did you keep pressing the arrow keys after your guy left the screen you were looking at? That would definitely cause him to keep moving on the other screen you couldn't see. Other than that, I can't help you. Didn't experience autorun on Win10 Chrome (but did experience a lot of lag...).
The game idea is very nice, it reminds me of "The Witness"! I struggled a bit with the controls because the game was running slowly on my pc, but I cold get to the end! It would be nice to see some kind of full version of the game!
I'm constantly stuck on rocks and can't move out of them. Is there a key to jump or whatever ?
Yep Rava, this had to have been inspired by The Witness (which is good because that game was awesome!)
This one glitched for me a few times just like Nat R., and the gameplay/controls need a bit more work. But I'd definitely like to see a fuller version- they did a nice job! :-)
