I got 92 of them. But my fingers hurt from all the clicking!
I'm at 19 (so not very far at all!), but I don't know how to progress. I have one firefly that I can see, but haven't yet figured out how to get to. I have collected 2 parts of some sort of key..which, I assume, will open this barrier that I can't go through.. I feel like I've been everywhere I can go.

Okay, that was weird. I got all 100 (and the game ended) but I still had 1/3 of a key left and at least one door I hadn't unlocked.

How did you do it? I'm at the same spot but can't seem to find what to do... 19 flies and 2/3 of the key... Can see the 20th fly, but not a clue how to get it..
Never mind... Power of posting strikes again! Now I'm just missing 2 flies....
@PK, there's a door at the end that's just a shortcut to a different part, you don't need to open it to finish the game. I'm guessing that's why you had 2/3 left.
Fricking twitch games... I wish my reflexes didn't suck...

I made it! and there's still more to explore...but it won't let me, the game is over

go as far up as possible for the 3rd piece of the key. it's a little tricky, but doable
The ending was kind of abrupt.
Hmm... There's one extra firefly. If you go up the final tree and collect that firefly, and continue to the end, there will be one extra in the final line-up that you can't collect~
I wonder how many fireflies there were in all: I saw number 101 before the game ended.
Quick and cute, but I had the same issue where I ended up with a full key, and saw the door that I could have opened, but earned my 100th firefly so the game ended before I had a chance to go through.
If the end wasn't so abrupt, it'd be a really awesome lil mini game.

I've gotten all the keys and am at 99 fireflies, but I can't find #100.

It's not the same thing!! So I just can find 20 fireflies and 2/3 of the key. There's no way I can do anything else...

I went into this game expecting headaches-- I thought I was going to get lost a lot, especially considering the small screen size. But the way the game is segmented masterfully avoids this little issue, but not without making the game too linear. There are multiple paths, and you do need a grasp on the area to navigate, but you can travel without worrying excessivly about memorizing everything. Combined with the amazing visuals and music, and this is definitely an enjoyable game.
(And Sara-- That game you found footage of on youtube is a different game by the same name. This was created for the low res jam, and can be completed the way you pictured it, which is in fact the intended way.)

Yes, if you find all the fireflies before reaching the end, you'll have to find the 5 extra Golden Fireflies =)

I found all of the fireflies! I've played this before but I didn't see any golden ones...
When I did it before, I was able to continue after I found 100 of them and I got to 132 I think before I got stuck.
It's a really good game, but you need half-decent reflexes to do it.
I'm at the same point that other people have got stuck at, 20 fireflies and two/thrids of a key. Do I have to get to the top of the tree? If so, how? Have tried various things but if there's a "wall-jump" feature in this game I haven't discovered how to do it.
