  2. The exploding boobs in the sidebar adverts put me off entirely before the game even loaded.

  3. I wonder how many players end up in the hole, but it's not that long to replay. Nice game, thanks for posting!

  4. Game won't load for me :/

  5. I'm in some sort of hole...=(

  6. Anyone able to get past the hole? I made it all that way as an egg...not sure what to do next

  7. Yes you should jump over the hole, just don't jump to soon, jump when you're on the edge.

  8. Lame. no way out of the hole or to reset the game.

  9. Can you make it across the abyss hole as an egg? I know you can as a chicken, but I'm having trouble doing it as the egg.

  10. The game wouldn't load for me either.

  11. It wouldn't load for me either; I don't know what it was doing, but when I killed it, Firefox was up to about 600 MB of data and still climbing, and using 22% of available CPU cycles, on a 3-GHz quad core. Either it uses a HUMONGOUS amount of game data, or there's a bug that sometimes causes a runaway memory allocation loop.

  12. Addendum to my previous comment:

I'm tempted to think that it's a problem in the Unity game engine rather than in the game code itself. This is the third Unity game I've run into with this problem in the last few days.

Just in case anyone cares, I'm running Firefox on Fedora Linux.

  13. Excellent game. Please, continue posting these short artistic games.

  14. Second addendum:

I tried again, running in Chrome this time (still in Fedora Linux), and the game loaded just fine. I dunno WHAT'S going on...

  15. Well that was a big old pile of fail:
    - Having to reload the page if you want to restart
    - Way too short
    - Having to reload the page if you want to restart
    - unintuitive controls with no explanation (why does pressing up make you hover for a short while, yet holding up won't?)
    - Having to reload the page if you want to restart

  16. Thanks for sharing this game, I love it! In my opinion the not being able to restart is part of the meaning of the game...

    loved it! thanks again, bart!
keep these unique little games coming xo
p.s. take the time to read the comments under the game... there is an alternate ending ;)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I've tried everything! But I can't get to that 'alternative ending'.
I keep ending up in that hole!
The comment says 'At the final leap, as soon as you start floating, go left, then go right as fast as you can'.
I end up in the hole, or at the other side, leading to the normal end.
    What is the trick?

  19. I think you have to jump by pressing up, then release the up key, and then press right while you are hovering in the air. If you try to press up and right at the same time, you will not get the amount of hovering you need to cross the pit.

It's an annoying unexplained control scheme that landed me in the pit even after I thought I had the game figured out.

  20. Thank you Nathan Kibelbek, but this I already did. It just leads to the normal ending.
I understood there should be an alternative ending (according to the comments on the site), you should be able to access using some other movements.
Maybe I'm wrong, and the ending with mother chicken is the alternative one.
Then the normal ending is obviously ending up in the pit...?

  21. The comment on newgrounds is this :
"Yes there is an alternate ending. Before you make take the final leap jump left as soon as you start floating go to the right as fast as you can and you will get the real ending."
    I think it means this:
Before you make the final leap, (if you didn't break your shell) jump left(so you can break the shell and can float, and) as soon as you start floating go to the right as fast as you can (so you can get to the other side) and you will get the real ending(with your mother and other siblings).

  22. Thank you for this clarification.
However, unless the 'normal ending' is in the pit, I don't see why this should be 'alternative'. It's just the ending...?

  23. It looks like fun but I have a real issue with platformers -- or, rather, with twitch games in general, which many platformers are. I'm 71 years old, and MY REFLEXES ARE SHOT TO SH!T!!!

I wish I could still enjoy games like this, but... There just ain't no way.

  24. ...that was much deeper than I thought it would be.

    I like it. :-)
