@veewee The rules aren't tasks you have to complete. The goal is always to reach the grey dot without dying, each rule just makes getting there a bit more complicated, and you have to keep those rules in mind while you go towards the goal :)
Fun game, though. I'm not the speediest so I couldn't get much past the "stand still for 3 seconds and you die" rule, but it was really fun.
Eh, it got to the point where I realized I wasn't have fun because it was just kind of tedious to deal with teleporting randomly while having to move more horizontally than vertically while avoiding invisible walls. I think that was about 8 rules in.
I think it's a really clever concept and I had fun with it, although I would not have given it a second turn if I hadn't read the comments above and found out that the rules appear in random order.
On my first play I got a difficult rule early and this limited my progress. On the second run I got a lot further - it was fun juggling some of the more difficult (but not crippling) rules.
Eventually the rules will wear you down and overcome you - and I think that is the whole point! It is a pretty accurate simulation of real life! Some of us are unlucky and are born in places where the rules are stacked against you early on and this inevitably affects your whole life. Others of us are born in places where we get an easy start and then we get frustrated when a new rule - perhaps a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things - comes and makes life a tiny bit less easy.
Maybe I read way too much into this but right there is one key difference between third world problems and first world problems...!
14 rules was my best effort...there are a lot of different rules, some more frustrating than others. I wonder how many...since I don't have the patience to keep trying!
hmm..not understanding this one, so far..
ReplyDeleteI kill myself, and it congratulates me on surviving 1 rule...and...that's it?
What am I supposed to do?

oh! hmm....I never saw a grey dot!
ReplyDeleteI guess that was the problem then =)
"endless rules"
ReplyDeleteI found out endless means fourteen
18 Rules, but I got tired xD
ReplyDelete15 rules was where i ended
ReplyDeleteThe rule set changes each time you play
ReplyDeleteonly 12 rules :'( :'(
ReplyDeleteGot stuck at rule 8, because the grey dot was inside a white area and therefore not reachable.
ReplyDeleteDitto
ReplyDeleteGot to about 16 rules, then the next rule was "walls kill you."
ReplyDeleteNOPE!

ReplyDeleteInvisible deadly walls got me. (16 rules)
ReplyDeleteAfter 14 rules, I was "Dunin!" (Yes, by a wall.)

Nice!! In my first game 13 rules

ReplyDeleteNice little game! I got to 17.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun game, but I hate when the walls either trap you or the goal, because then its absolutely impossible to go any further.
ReplyDeleteMe and a couple of friends played this as a drinking game. Every time we got a Game Over, we took a sip.
