easy enigma [browser]

And here's yet another new Jack Lance puzzler that pushes the puzzlescript boundaries. Easy Enigma start simply with a box you have to push into place... (Z key to undo a move, R key to restart a level)

  1. The first levels are ok, then the one after all the little guys just clog up the screen and doesn't´t start. Level 5?

  2. He he he - this game is clever and evil. Go with the flow :-)

  3. I'm not sure if this is glitching or not. I get the first few levels okay, but then it keeps layering the text repeatedly (and over top of the playing area) before giving me an "engine error."

  4. Stuck on the stage where you can see the instructions bleeding in on the right side, and you can actually go to a new screen that says Engine Error, has two # signs, and the rest of the instructions. There's some lateral thinking I'm missing here. I don't see how to move the crate over the target, and I even tried rearranging the letters to read "Easy Enigma" and "new game" between the #s. What's the goal of this stage, and what, if any, role does the ability to push the letters around play?

  5. I'm stuck at that part as well... It's clear that you have to create a word, but I can't figure out what it is. I'm assuming it's a 10 letter word, or a two words with nine characters, but haven't been able to find the right one. Also, to answer the comment that is above the the comment that is above this comment, it's not glitching, just keep pressing x.

  6. Here's a hint for the last two posters:
What screen do the instructions usually show up on? What usually shows up there?

  7. Anybody know how does the end work?

    How did he do that?

  8. Does anybody know the solution for de level "Printing level contents:"? I tried all kind of combinations in and out de cage. Thanks!

  10. @Sample Thanks for the reply. Your comment indicates that something I thought was a dead end might not actually be a dead end. Before I spelled "new game," I tried to make "continue," but the only "u" is on the bottom line with no apparent way to move it out or up. I also see that there is a comma missing compared to the real title screen, and some of the letters are formed slightly differently (the capital X). Losing motivation to figure this out. So many games to play. :)

  12. Ah. How ironic. Who would think you need to do that to End Game?

  13. I still haven't figured out what word to spell!! Any more hints?? I've tried continue, new game, end game... not the right letters for some of those...

  14. Open up any of the other PuzzleScript games (plenty of links on Bart's site) and see if you can find anything else that is normally on that page.

And, given that everything else in the game has flipped, don't be surprised if you have to think into the box a little bit.

  15. @Lulu It turns out that I was correct to try to insert letters between the #s, but I was using the wrong words. I saw a hint on another site that helped me, so I'll leave it here: "it might help to replay the previous levels again." Or, to make it even more spoilery...

There is another version of the title page that appears throughout the game that has a different phrase than the actual start screen. Try using that phrase.
