An atmospheric and short explorative platformer: Nebo by Mooligames.
This should be called "Button Mashing and Questionable Hit Boxes: The Game". And if the button mashing weren't bad enough, why does your gun fire when you _release_ the key and not when you press it?
It's really pretty and a fun concept, but the controls are a little wonky. The firing for the gun feels off and its REAL finicky about the up/down mechanic. Otherwise, the sound is good and the look and feel is wonderful.
This was a bit of a mixed bag. Some sections were admittedly difficult and required complex reasoning to get past them, some sections were difficult due to the game's awkward controls, and a great deal more were easy.
This game is definitely fun but also the bosses were hard. I personally didn't get past the 2nd boss, which I might have been able to do if the boss's hitbox was larger, but the normal levels I didn't have any problem with.
This game is really fun and I think the 2nd boss was the hardest of all 5 in my opinion mainly because you have to use all 4 arrow keys to beat it. Some tips I have for that is to hold both a vertical (up or down)and horizontal (right or left) when you want to move between the horizontal pathway, to change what vertical pathway you're on, and the vertical pathways, to face upwards to fire at the boss. Something else I figured out also helps is to try to go upwards as little as you can that way you can move to another one of the vertical pathways easier.
I don't know if it is me or not but I see no game... just comments
ReplyDeleteThe game doesn't show up in Chrome for me too. But it works with Firefox or IE.

ReplyDeleteWeird. It actually gets easier the further you go. Once you beat the spaceship that spits 3 rocks at a time, it's smooth sailing.

ReplyDeleteIt would be really nice if they showed the health of the bosses.
ReplyDeleteSome sort of a story would be nice

ReplyDeleteI found the four-legged boss way (too?) hard...
