dropboy [browser]
Sacrifice your movement keys to press buttons and solve all the levels in the puzzler dropboy by Torcado for the 'sacrifices must be made' themed Ludum Dare 43 game jam. (arrow keys to move, shift+arrow to drop/take key, Z to undo, R to restart)
Be careful about this game! From what I've seen, it eats up RAM like no other game I've played. Both times I closed this game, it seemed to be running on 5GB and it may have wanted more if I had more RAM.
Took me a bit to understand how to play. Then it was a simple drop what you don't need any more. Until the level with 3 buttons & an off in the corner flag. Clearly you need 2 directions to get there & only have 1 left.
Yeah, the up/down scrolling the page was awfully annoying, then I realized you can use WASD, but the arrow keys would have been easier to work with still.
About the 3-buttons level mentioned above: I also stumbled a bit on that, but then managed to wrap my head around it. And you actually need all three buttons pressed to get out (I also thought that a single button was controlling the flag, but it's not the case)... remember that you can also TAKE BACK dropped arrows, when you're on them ;-)

There is a trick with that level - you don't need to press all 3 buttons.
ReplyDeleteMoving up/down also scrolled the screen for me.

ReplyDeleteThe idea is very original, I like it!

Is there some way to tell if a button has to stay pressed?
ReplyDeleteSome are press once , while others are press & hold.
