The continuation of the monkey happy point and click adventures by Robin Vencel. From now on Robin will release a longer stage after each 2 free stages accessible with a code for his patreon supporters. Here are monkey happy stage 257 (the first patreon only stage, but Robin provided the code for this one so you can have a feel of what these stages are like: 43321), stage 258, stage 259, stage 260 (patreon only), stage 261 and stage 262.

Bart, I think you should still post these every two weeks because it's hard to save/remember the bonus symbols if you're doing half of the levels a week in advance, and it seems like that's why you've been doing it every other week. Of course, it's your blog, and I can just do these every other week if you want to do it this way.
It's a shame Robin Vencel and the Monkey Happy folks decided to collect monies through Patreon in order to play. The games were engaging and clever. Ad Block Plus was always turned off for their site. I wish the Monkey Happy folks well with their current pay-to-play endeavors, and I will seek casual gaming elsewhere.
Hi guys, Just wanted to explain. Believe me, it took me a long time to decide if I should pursue a paid version of the games, but with the ad revenues in decline and the flash gaming completely done, I had to find an alternative source of revenue. I would love to keep creating just free content but I just couldn't find a way to sustain it financially. That is why I decided to not take away anything from the players but rather work harder and longer and create extra content for fans who wish to support what I do. There are still 2 free stages a week to play if you don't want to pay. I hope you understand. Thank you. Robin
Definitely not going to pay to play. Bad move by Monkeyhappy.
I might have been tempted by a one time donation.
Monthly however is a no go, & who is going to toss $80.00?
Finally I feel Bart would get first dibs on my spare change.
I enjoy Robin's games and have no issues with supporting his work. (It's a lot cheaper than going to a movie and supporting Hollywood!)
Realities of life, people. You pay (one way or another) for what you get. The sooner you figure that out, the sooner you can start choosing what you want. I think Robin is fairly generous to continue putting out free content alongside the more extensive paid levels.
I also hope Bart continues to post updates as levels come available.
My question: I played through lvl 260 and was surprised that there wasn't a "bonus" level afterward. Has there been a change to bonus levels?
Hi Talan, Thanks for your message, bonus level will now happen after every 6 stages. :) So every 2 weeks.
All the best with the new schedule Robin!
Now I understand how the bonus will work, so from now on I will post the Monkeys in batches of 6 (4 free + 2 extra patreon stages). I will update this post when 262 is out and then continue like that.
I'll save my money for more important things, food, clothing, shelter, etc. Plenty of free games out there to enjoy and pass the time.
I was mildly upset at first, and figured I couldn't do the bonus level.
Then I remembered how little I enjoyed them.
Now I won't have to wait 2 weeks or draw out clues.
I like the bonus levels. I keep a file on my desktop called "monkey" where I save the clues for the current series. Sometimes a bit tricky to ASCII out whatever equals three. I'm sure there are those out there who have documented every clue and bonus ... they'll have to sign up for the patreon stages or have holes in their numbering scheme.
I love Bart and I love Robin. For a little bit of money you get these longer games! I love it.
Robin, I'm glad you found a way to keep the game going. It would have been sad if you had stopped making them.
I have updated this post with 261 and 262 and will from now on post them in groups of 6 to follow the bonus.
Re: Michael Ursitti
Try using Paint for your clues.
No. Bart, this page has been in my bookmarks and favorites for years - going on 10. You have been with me through browsers and OSs and widely varying game interests. I even go back through your archives sometimes to find my faves. If you need financial support for the amazing work you create you have to ask for it. I will not pay through Patreon - that's a promise. but find another venue and then tell me!! My nieces and nephews are >10 and know about Factory Balls. They love it! All you have to do is add a fun Easter egg for them and it's the perfect gift from their fave aunt! And now I can afford it ;)
Seriously, Bart, you don't know me, but I know you. And I agree with Robin. You pay for it 1 way or another.
That was Talan that said that you get what you pay for. And I love Ursitti's comment too - lol
