plain room [browser]

Can you solve all the puzzles to escape from this Plain Room? It's another new escape the room game by Nicolet.

  2. Out...
Again : not too easy, not too hard, not too long...
    Nicolet are very nice games.

  3. Very good game to make a break.

Off topic Questions for the players (incl bart):
Do you take notes on paper? Or screenshot relevant parts? Or are you capable of solving all the puzzles with sheer brain power?

I use paper, then screenshots. Without those two, there is a heavy "puzzle, visit room back to puzzle, to room, ..." involved. And it gets worse if the state of the puzzle is not saved.

    Sorry for the off-topic question.

  4. @Leser pen and paper are always my friends :)

  5. @Leser - I try to do as much as I can from memory, I consider it an additional challenge to be able to memorize and keep track of clues, sort of like if I were actually stuck in a room without a writing utensil or a cell phone. But typically it reaches a point where I either can't keep the clues straight in my head, or I'm getting stuck with finding the next puzzle to solve or trick to unlock something, and I decide to write down all the clues I have to see if something clicks for me.

@Leser generally screenshots for me, but pen & paper also sometimes.
    So both...

  8. Was there a reason for the shapes or colors during the animal puzzle?
Because I found it so misleading that I just hard forced it with <3s.
Also the objects were vague or misleading shaped.
Would be a very simple escape without the misdirection.

I keep old envelopes for notes & they pile up if I don't write out my clues.

  9. There is a reason for the shapes, but not the colors. Very easy to overthink this puzzle.

  10. I don't use pencil and paper, I try to keep the puzzle in my head and remember. I'm no genius, I am trying to build my comprehension and these games give me that opportunity. Takes me longer to escape, but I do escape. This game gave the key at the end I was trying to figure out where to use it, I did eventually.

  11. @Leser, I try to remember the clues, but if that doesn't work, paper and pencil, last resort: screenshot. Like Anonymous (March 16 22:15) I have a stack of used envelopes on my desk just for clue writing!

  12. 1st choice is memory, 2nd screenshots, 3rd pen and paper.

I think this one would be very hard without writing notes.

I liked this puzzle, but there were a couple of things that were a little too easy to just not find by clicking around, like the second wooden object, final key location. At least for each of those, you have an idea about the tools that are available and what kind of objects they might interact with. I really enjoyed that most of the "data sources" got used in a couple of different ways.

  13. @everybody: Thanks for sharing. The old envelope thing can be expanded to old receipes or paper ads and what so ever :D
