karoshi portal [browser]
Find a way to get yourself killed in the 30 levels of the Karoshi fangame Karoshi Portal by John Wallie. (Do you remember the original Karoshi game by Jesse Venbrux from 2008?)
Funny that you should post a new Karoshi game (or a remake, haven't played it yet) just as I'm getting involved in functionally archiving old Flash games in the Flashpoint project. I was thinking about going through your old posts as far back as 2008 and making sure they were all in there. I know the Karoshi games are in, though, since they were decently popular and well-known!
Loved the running spike too. I was stuck for a while on level 9, until I realised that I'd been trying to push everything right instead of left. Rest of it was fairly straightforward with the hint for level 19...
Tip for MY biggest problem level: On level 25, you have to jump while entering a portal to get higher and higher to the bomb. (Took me forever to figure out that trick).
Completely stuck on Level 24
ReplyDeleteTo solve lvl 24 you have to pay attention on 2 things:
ReplyDelete1. you can push more than 1 box through the portal. the boxes will pop up behind each other.
2. thake care on the sequence of creating protals.
the green goo levels made it a twitch game, and no longer a puzzle, bummer as there is no way to skip bad levels

ReplyDeleteThe running spike made me laugh :)
ReplyDelete19? Anyone? 19?
ReplyDeletethis post gave me war flashbacks of newgrounds 2012
ReplyDeleteHint for level 19, If you played any Sonic the Hedgehog games, sometimes at certain times he would tap his foot and look at his watch?

ReplyDeleteI could have done without the rocket levels, I was never any good at those.
ReplyDeleteControls are HORRIBLE!!! Bring back to jump and to shoot!!!

Finally finished it.

Oddly satisfying. ;)
With the exception of the rocket shit, that was fun
ReplyDeleteAgree, quit after 2 levels of rocket crap
ReplyDeleteThe rocket was too much, wish there was a level skip/select. I prefer solving problems than having to perfectly control a character.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't get past the rocket. Oh well. There just wasn't a way to perfectly control it using arrow keys and avoiding the green sticky walls.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the green goo. I love the puzzles but the flying controls are really bad and I can't be bothered by the frustration.
ReplyDeleteI abandoned the game after the rocket. I found the original game and a super version of it. Both were quite entertaining.
ReplyDeleteHow did John solve it in 7 minutes? I'm in the low nines and shaving seconds off. Not sure how he did it 2 minutes faster.
ReplyDeleteI was genuinely saddened when the original stopped working on iPhone with the 64bit switchover. Glad to see it lives on.
