h.m.s. relentless puzzler [browser]

Can you solve all the puzzles in the ship-themed puzzle box H.M.S. Relentless Puzzler by Aurel? Hold down the mouse button at the edges of the screen to turn the ship, various elements of the ship can be clicked or dragged around (the cursor will indicate when this is possible).

That was interesting. Note: Sound is important for some of the puzzles.

I think I broke it.
Don't tab mute the site.

How does the chimney give a clue for the four windows?

This reminds me of the dismantlement games :)

There is a hard version of simon in this game.
And I broke it :)

@ano

Look carefully at the chimney

I did look at the chimney and apparently I'm not seeing what I need to see.

Can someone please spoil the chimney/window puzzle?

@ano

Which puzzle do you mean exactly?

The puzzle where you have to click the windows according to these "clues" on the chimney that I cannot figure out or see for that matter.

SPOILER
SPOILER
SPOILER

Going UP the chimney, there are "lines" on it. It you are looking at the ship head on, the lines will be in the NW, NE, SW, SE "sides" of the chimney. They are kind of faint black vertical lines. The windows to click are in the same 4 directions. Click the windows in the order that the lines are in and their location. If the lowest line is the SW, click the SW window first, etc. Repeat for the seconds chimney when it pops up.

I see other people "broke it" like I did.

Can anyone confirm that is the actual successful end, and not an indication that we screwed up? Kind of ambiguous....

Anonymous said...

Thank you STORMVISE, I would have never figured that out!

(I am the author.)

Thanks for the feature, and thank you everyone for the kind comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the game, short as it was.

@TiCKed Yes, that is the one ending there is, sorry about the ambiguity :)

LOL. Looks like it broke:-)

For the dual pipes: it's so much easier with the sound on. If I only had thought of that before I got it down to one pipe. :)

unmute and listen when moving windows

I still can't do the two chimneys. those gray lines are very vague an I see no difference with sound off or on. Someone spoil the sequence on which windows to click on in order.

You're (understandably!) confusing two sets of hints. When some people are talking about the chimneys, they're referring to the two columns with lights where you have to follow the simon says patterns and where sound is helpful.

I think when you mention the chimneys, you mean the masts? Which are more straight forward that you think, as what may be tripping you up is that you need to input the window code by following the lines on the masts from **bottom to top**.

Here's an image that outlines the connection between lines and windows without giving away the whole solution:

Firefox gives me a "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue" error when I try to run any of the games on Aurel's site. It might be a problem on my end, because it looks like most people have been able to play the game.

It is a GREAT game...I hope there more games just like it in the future. There need to be more of the take-apart games.

if your stuck on any of the puzzles here is walkthrough
#1 click the three windows at the back any order
#2 look at the back for the order you need to click them in, the order is as follows, front left (front windows are the ones closest to the chimney) then back right then front right and finally back left. puzzle #3 drag the arrow left or right to pull a set of side windows up or down and pull the arrows out on both sides. puzzle #4 their will be 2 door on the backs of the sets of windows that had arrows click the first door many many times so the arrow stays in the set of windows while you do it to other side. puzzle #5 click the top right window very bottom left window (all the way on the left) then click top middle. puzzle #6 mimic the pattern on the left side it will flash at the one it wants you to click the order is as follow from top being 4 to bottom being 1 first set (1.3.2.4) second set (2,1,4,3,1) third set (4,4,2,1,3,1,2) forth set (4.1.2.2.3.1) puzzle #7 there are tiny little lines on the chimney they tell you what windows to click the order the order the follows is if you looking from the front of the boat (front left, back right, back left, front right, front left, back right,) second set (back left, back right, front right, front left, front left, front right) final puzzle drag the window until you hear a clicking sound for them and if you have sound muted then the one on the left stays where it's at the one on the right all goes the way down and the one at the middle goes all the way up
