A Christmas adventure about gifting presents and eating cookies: Göf by Egor Dorichev.
There appears to be a bug in the lost woods. When you move up and change screens, the game puts you in that same square when loading the next screen. It's not a problem if you just want to traverse them, but it makes it impossible to reach the tree on the bottom.
I only left 5 gifts. Ate 6 cookies. Bonked 45 times (in 1 day!) & moved over 1000 times. Not going to replay this to find hidden stuff. I bonked several times where it was empty.
@Anonymous there's no bug. I got 8/8 presents and 9/9 cookies without much trouble. The woods are doing exactly what they should: When you go north, you end up in the same position on the next screen (but at the bottom instead of the top), just as you' d expect. If you weren't able to reach the tree at the bottom, it's probably because you missed the hidden path at the top of the screen that takes you to that horizontal position.
@Tom the game got updated, there used to be a bug where following that path would bonk you and take you back to the bottom, making the last tree inaccessible.
I still haven't found everything either, 6/8 presents and 6/9 cookies (only 2 bonks the second time through). It bothers me that there's no instruction about the game's goals and no chances to go back and get stuff you missed once you figure it out.
I did get the one in the lost woods, but there's still one rather confusing, but benign glitch: when you enter a certain house, it places you in the same place on the screen that you were at. You end up on top of a wall, which you can get off by moving left. (Less of a glitch and more of an oversight.) Maybe if Egor ever looks here, this will help. It's happened before.
Alright, I found everything! I only bonk-minimized a little so I still got 17. For people looking, the most important thing is to look carefully at the trees everywhere. That's most of the extra stuff, then there's one which is weird and kinda has to do with the painting in the second house? But the item itself is near the end, I think you can still get to it from the lost woods.
(If anyone wants to try speedrunning this, or just attempting minimum moves, you have to deliver the first two presents to get to the end, which does mean you have to get the key.)

The bug in the lost woods section makes it impossible to get 100% completion...

ReplyDelete@Frobisher Ah, ok, I didn't realize that. I played it shortly before I posted and it was working fine then.
