I can't believe it's been 10 years since I released the original 'sugar, sugar' browser game, but with the dead of the Flash player at the beginning of this year it was no longer possible to enjoy the game in your browser. Well I have some sweet news: thanks to a partnership with Poki, the original game has been resurrected and converted to html5, so you can now enjoy the orginal sugar, sugar in your browser again!
Has it really been 10 years? Ten Years since I found this website???? W.O.W.
ReplyDeleteThis is just the best piece of news this month!!!!!!!! Thanks Bart!!!!!!!!!!!

Great News!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little wary of the Poki thing. It's great that you're trying to keep your games available, and I really appreciate it, but I noticed that you now link to their site for all the HTML5 color games, and playing on there adds significant lag. I immediately noticed that the letters that are supposed to switch on the beat in the intro immediately got behind, which never happened to me when you hosted on bartbonte.com.
ReplyDeleteGood news, but why not creating a "sugar sugar 4"? :)
ReplyDeleteI recently tried to replay sugar sugar and was devastated to find that they were gone. I'm immensely happy that it's back XD
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, it's like trying to draw a blueprint using a crayon. The sugar falls much slower than the original version and the lines much thicker. It's crude. I hope you can get the kinks out because Sugar Sugar is a great game.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! One of my favourite games ever.
ReplyDeleteThe death of Flash has taken so much from us.
But, yay!
Hooray and yay! Any chance to get it to automatically save progress?
ReplyDeleteYAY! One of my favorites!! Can't wait for a new version =)
ReplyDelete@Rockpile: with progress do you mean the number level you have reached? That should be working.
ReplyDelete@Bart: Maybe I'm doing something wrong...when I restart the game, I have to start all over from level 1. The rest are locked.
ReplyDelete@Rockpile That's weird. Maybe you are using ad blocking or cookie blocking tools?
ReplyDeleteBart, it seems to no longer be on that website?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Thanks for reporting, it should be back now!
ReplyDeleteThank you, it is back now!
