Nice! Sometimes something quite simple is the best
I made it all the way to the level that's all blue and has 4 furniture pieces and I can't figure out how to finish it. I'm thinking the solution involves using a furniture piece to cover your footprints, but I still can't make it to the end without at least one tile being unpainted or dirty.
that was a great idea, but I'm stuck there too...
any hints?
I just read the author's comment below the game: covering footprints with a crate is not a valid mechanic
...which makes my mind calmer with fewer possibilities
For the 4-furniture room, have you noticed you can push the paint can with furniture? My solution was then left-right symmetric.
kinda spoilery for 4-furniture room: my path ended up being a large S shape.
oh and out!
blue room with 4 boxes is level 11 out of 16. but, maybe that makes you think you're farther than you are since 1-8 are so easy. box first appears in 9
13 (large room with red and yellow) and 14 (7x7 room with 3 colors, pushable bath, and hole in top right) are pretty hard. 16 a total cakewalk in comparison

for anyone needing an extra hint: it's almost a $ shape... and it's pretty clear when you manage to start painting from a corner

A subgoal is pushing out the water bucket to the right, to help wash off before getting to the yellow paint

I've been trying!! but I keep boxing myself in with red paint.

I either overwalk 1 square and can't move the crate over it or box myself with the red paint...

1) You first need to go around to the right to retrieve the box (you don't need to get the cross painted yet)
2) By the time you reach the bottom again, you should be able to nudge the water bucket to the right two squares
3) Don't worry about leaving a gap in the paint, you have the box to cover it up with later

Level 11 (blue room, 4 boxes) has had me stumped all week. Fresh look this morning along with hint from @Anonymous10:11 - get the paint into the corner - and got it on first attempt.
Let's see what the rest of the levels do to me...
