I found 3 ways to die, now what?

interesting premise, but the game itself is a complete slog imo. i gave up when the game kept refusing to let me take a certain item - i can only assume it was a bug, because it seemed like i hit all the flags to let me take it...

"Convoluted" is the word of the day here. I lost interest after making some progress, because it just seemed to be getting more confusing rather than less....

I wouldn't have figured it out without the walkthrough but I actually really enjoyed the story! Nice one, not too easy :)

This is the worst throwback ever.
Not only are you dead at every turn.
And stuck pixel hunting for hidden items.
Your creating time travel paradoxes.
You have to replay the same scenes looking for changes.
And some changes are invisible so your rehunting.

Looking through the comments on the game itself there seems to be a bug which doesn't let you interact properly with a specific item. As a result you can't complete the game. It's a shame because it was very enjoyable up to that point with good game play and script.

Following on from the previous comment. There isn't a bug - just a quirk of the gameplay where you have to right click to inspect something before you can interact with something else in another room.
I like many others was just left clicking and it wasn't working. Game completed now - really enjoyed it. Reminded me of the old LucasArts games.

spoilers in this comment since i finished :)

plotwise and atmospherwise, very cool, but i had trouble feeling like finishing it because the distinction between left-click and right-click is not at all intuitive. i had that issue with the pills, and once again later the exact same issue with the map.

there are several other places where what to do is not obvious and things that should lead you on the right track don't. for example, after putting on the disguise, clicking directly on the bouncer doesn't change dialogue, but clicking on the door allows through, which is unusual since if checking bouncer dialogue first, the natural impulse is to think that the bouncer is still displeased and clicking the door will just force us back into bouncer dialogue. another case is the book towards the end. since I have poor memory, I struggled to remember the ingredients I was searching for and the book never lets you read it again. and by the time I was actually supposed to use the book, I had focused so much on the ingredients that I had forgotten that the book also had the incantation, and had no idea what to do with the book. I also personally had a lot of trouble figuring out how to get Marco to talk to the concierge, and feel that it's also an issue related to unintuitive UI considering it's the only puzzle in the game to require you to click on Marco, but that may just be me.

Alert: I may be a little spoilery.

The game was really entertaining. I was a bit confused in the beginning, but after a while I figured that my acts has consequences, and that helped me a lot how to solve the problems.

I didn't realize for a loooong time that I can go out of the hotel!

For me the hardest part was that when I didn't know if I have to make myself kill and start over that part or I just missed something and I have to continue checking everything. A hint would have been helpful at that part, so I provide one:

When you have to take care of the numbered guys in the Blue room again and again, it is important that you have to do something differently while Marco is with you.

*Blue room: I mean Red room, sorry
