How can you do #9 ?
The bread rolls after the butter instead of stopping.
Re #9 - make a U shape out of the butter.
Got 13 in the end, you need to separate the 2 butter parts of the 'H' left over after going over the knives whilst also making sure you can move both of the bread parts back to the right section.
Managed 15 as well, only 14 is stumping me at the moment, anyone got any hints?
For 14 keep in mind there are two ways pieces of butter can stop moving, when it hits a wall and when it sticks to another piece that is blocked from going with the moving piece. Also, count how many butter pieces you start with versus how many knives need to be cooled to see if you have any extra butter pieces that can be sacrificed to move the rest of the chunk.

level 8 seems impossible. I can't figure out how to safely move any butter besides the center one. help?

I've been stuck for ages on level 14. I can get to the hot knife at bottom left, but not if I clear the ones on the right first, and I can't work out how to get back there. Any more hints?
Semi-walkthrough for #14: To get started, put the 3 right pieces in an unconnected L pattern. From here connect the pieces into a backwards L shape. It should be pretty simple to solve from there.

I don't know what you mean by "an unconnected L pattern". I can make the 3 pieces into a backwards L:

but I can't see anything useful I can do with that. A bigger backwards L shape either wouldn't go through the gap on the left, or I wouldn't be able to line up the remaining leg (3-long vertical) in the right place after using the foot to cool the bottom left knife.

stuck on level 15. help?
For level 10: I guess the problem is how to get into the middle chamber. You can put a butter in the right chamber halfway, using it as a stopper for the other butter and breads.
More detailed: cut one butter to have a 1-unit butter (in the left chamber), put the 2-unit butter in the right chamber, but don't cut it yet. Put a bread to the down right corner, put the 1-unit butter next to it on the left, put the other bread on the top of it, and them move the 2-unit butter down, that will be your stopper. Now you can use a bread in the middle chamber.
Damn, I'd finished all but level 15 and it's lost my progress! I don't think I'll bother starting again.
You don't need to re-do all the levels. If you refresh the page, it takes you to level select, and you can choose any level.
Finally got 14!
I was confused for a long time by the "unconnected L --> backwards L". If you're also stuck there, my advice is to focus on making the backwards L (there are different ways to do it), understanding that it consists of FOUR (not three) butter squares.
