rooom [browser]
To escape from the game ROOOM by Neko Donut you will have to solve all the puzzles to align the rooms. Move around with the cursor keys and interact with items using the space key.
Like it, seemed hard to begin with, but once you get used to it, actually mostly makes sense and there are only a limited number of combinations to try if you get really stuck. Must admit, stumbled on the disco dancing more by luck though.
I don't read Japanese, how sure are we that there's only two endings? Feels like there's some potential for a change in behavior that gets you some treasure, or reveals an easter-egg behind the left-most bush in the first room?
Anonymous 16 May 2022 at 18:06: that's a very old trick, already used in the Myst series, and I didn't think about it, thanks for the hint. Found both endings, nice game.
For the sumo wrestlers, one is hungry (you can get food from another room by completing another task) and one is asleep. What could possibly wake up someone who is asleep? What could make some noise? Although admittedly, you just 'throw it' at the sumo instead of putting it nearby.
Do you have the food? It comes from the room with 5 statues. There are TWO items to bring to the statues. The food appears when you bring the one of those (not immediately, leave and come back when you've provided what's missing).
Once you have the food, you can put it in the bowl. Then the sumo wrestler will be happy to go to a different room.
Hope that helps!
My problem was I tried the right thing to wake up sleepy sumo but it didn't work the first time... Maybe I wasn't lined up right.
I found the star ending but I cannot figure out how to unlock the final green room for the other ending. I'm not sure what I'm missing but I'm sure it's obvious.
Chicago Buck: The left room is already green. The center room is one of three where you put marbles on a pedestal. The right one is the room with the gear on the left wall and the target on the right wall. I think those descriptions are also clues :-)
Cute little game, sometimes a little tricky but quite easy. thanks Bart, as usual
ReplyDeleteGot both endings - fun little game and well designed by Neko as always

ReplyDeleteWell, I'm pretty dumb. Couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do.
