tower of hatnoi [browser]
You must try to wear all the hats in the puzzlescript puzzler Tower of Hatnoi by RJCunningham, a Thinky Puzzle Game Jam 2 entry. (Z key to undo a move, R key to restart a level)
Level 3 hints : - bring red hat to the right - play with the 2 hats who's on top, who's at the bottom... - racks are still useful to give a hat some rest.
I am so frustrated with level 3! Your hints are not helping me. The game logic defies friction! & balance too I guess. If only I could jump & yell in the game.
there's no special trick at this level. additional steps for level 3 : - lift the small hat with the big one, then bring it out of the square - put the big hat back on the racks - change small hat's side on the square - put the big hat above then you should be able to finish
Sorted the 7 racks level (3), thanks to the hint which got me started. Now stuck on level 6. Any hints? I'm impressed with the level design for a deceptively simple game mechanic, epcially for a first puzzlescript game.
Level 9 (the one with two disconnected ladders IIRC):
You don't use the ladders on the right. To move the big hat sufficiently to the right, stuff the small hat into it. At some point you need to place the small hat on the shelf below the large one, and then prop it up with the medium hat so it goes and stays inside.
for level 4 green can't be moved, so you need to get the other two into position, and to move blue you need red out of the way. The ladder is not needed until the end.
For Level 6, you should focus on getting the green hat mostly over to the right hand-side, using the red hat. BUT! - The gap between the right wall and the right-most lip of the green-hat cannot go below two squares, otherwise you've be able to manoeuvre the blue hat all the way out. - You have to be able to fully retrieve the red hat after getting the green hat into that position.
If you do both of the above, you can move the blue hat first with yourself then with the red hat, which will come to rest on top of the green hat, and finally by using yourself to push the red hat from the left to get the blue hat off its shelf.
1) You need to drop the Blue hat all the way down by nudging the green hat to the left using the red hat.
2) Extract the red hat from the green hat so that the green hat is on top of the blue hat by a single square
3) Put the red hat under the green hat and move them both on top of the blue hat
4) Use your head to scoot the red and green hats as far to the right as you can get them
5) Use your head to move the blue hat as far to the left as you can. When it's propped up on the two blocks, you can retrieve the red and green hats from the right and then put them under the blue hat to finish

Currently stuck at level 6.
Which level is the one "with 7 racks" you mention ?
Press esc to see your level.
The 7 racks are on level 3.
I keep bumping the blue hat.
The racks always get in my way.
Help please.

Also stuck on 6 - hints, please!

now level 6 is a different level than before...
Ahh! That one is definitely more difficult :)

Hm, I think that level 6 is everyone talking about is level 7... Maybe one level has been added later.
