jumping shell [browser]

Jumping Shell is the latest puzzle platformer by Robert Alvarez. You control a character who can nest itself in and out of layers of shells. You can strip yourself off of your shell by double-jumping. Use this mechanic wisely to reach the exit in each level.

  5. Stuck on 24... I can't get enough of the 2nd largest blocks to take out the minus signs by the portal. Is it even possible to get the block on the far left?

  6. About 24:

To get the leftmost plus you need to wear two shells.

To get the leftmost shell you need to wear two shells and have a spare small shell on the button.

Do not touch the minus until you have no more use for the larger shell.

  7. I saw Robert teasing this on twitter... just a brilliant mechanic and really fun so far to actually do (on level 20)

  8. Nice mechanic. Ads and lack of saved progress is a bit frustrating, of course.

Also, I completed #12 without using several of the resources on the level -- are these red herrings, or is this a bug?

  9. I don't feel like playing through all 23 levels again on Firefox.
I also won't disable the AdBlock just to see a hint.
    Can level 24 be done?
I got all the shells one way or another.
Can't get 4 of the 2nd size to escape though.
I also can't quite get out with 3, but it is sooo close.

  10. The trick that I kept forgetting was to "DROP A SHELL".

  11. @Urban Garlic - re level 12, I think they're red herrings. I spent ages trying to get to other resources, then suddenly realised that after doing X and Y that I already had enough shells to get me to the exit, so I didn't need to get the others.

  12. I'm glad Robert is getting paid (I hope!), but man... this site shows way too too many ads

  13. It didn't take me long to get to levels where I can figure out what I need to do, but I'm not coordinated enough to do it. Then every time I miss a jump I have to watch an ad? Apparently, I'm not his target audience.

  14. Oh man I didn't know.
Boy am I glad I always use AdBlock.

  15. For level 24 you need to find a way to drop a skin on the switch but not trigger the - switch.

This allows you to get the big skin out.

    Hope that helps.

  17. Good find from @Anonymous 4 April 16:17.

Not a huge fan of level 27, I have just enough dexterity to do it, but it's very twitchy. Others are nice, though, and the red/blue mechanic is interesting!

  18. 4 new levels! A bit trickier due to the moving parts, but still fun.

  19. 4 more levels (33-36) and another new mechanism! Fun, although maybe not for those who struggle with maths.

  20. Another 4 new levels (37-40)! I love that we keep getting extra levels and new "tools" to use.

  21. Four more levels, up to 44 now.
There are new levels on Grapple Grip too

  22. 4 more levels! I'm trying to work out 47 at the moment.
