Hi! I'm Bart Bonte, a Belgian independent game designer and bontegames.com is where I blog about new interesting browser and mobile games. My own games are all in the left column (or at the bottom of this page on mobile). More info about me and my games on bartbonte.com.

boxed boxes [browser]
Trapped inside a boxed box, try to reach the exit in the puzzle platformer Boxed Boxes by Jérémy Bouin.
I can't get this to launch. I have tried Chrome, Edge, and Microsoft Explorer. It starts to show the countdown to launching and then the screen goes black and stays that way.
Short but good. Last level in particular shows how game-play might be developed, expanded. I left a little sad I couldn't work that topmost falling rock into the solution.
Perhaps you'd better be sure that these games load in every browser, before you show them to people whose browsers might not load them. Just a helpful hint. Because I, for one, have no intention of jumping through hoops in order to find a browser that will load something so inconsequential.
I have changed the link now to the itch.io link. The Newgrounds one worked for me in different browsers, maybe an ad blocker was causing the problem. Anyway the new link should work fine everywhere! For the people that want to recover their progress on the Newgrounds link, that link was: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/904428 Cheers!
Bart does a great job of curating games that are typically worth our time. Without a staff to playtest each one, a certain small number of them do get posted here that won't load on a everyone's browser (I couldn't load this one, myself, until I got the Itch link).
In most cases, a reader does find an alternate link fairly quickly. I don't have any problem with us serving as the "playtesters" in that way.
So I am evidently late to this one, but it's not bad -- it remembers the prior levels, which is very nice, and the level of difficulty is manageable, at least for me. Some of the spike levels seem to need some fast-twitch moves, which I am not especially good at, but I was good enough for this one.
If you are you looking for a solution or a walkthrough for one of the game links, please have a look in the comments.
Are you on facebook? Bontegames is too! Like the bontegames facebook page:

I have tried Safari and Firefox - same...
Also had launch troubles, but found this alternative itch upload that worked better for me:
https://jebouin.itch.io/boxed-boxes
Not launching in Newgrounds site using Chrome but found it on Y8.
Thx!!
"https://jebouin.itch.io/boxed-boxes" works much better for me !!

thank you for the working link to itch!

The itch.io link also worked for me.
Fun game. I was already convinced at the platforming mechanics in the first level and then the interesting box mechanics were even better.
I'm pretty sure I didn't solve 26 the way it was intended, but I had been stuck for a bit so I'll take it. Everything else was fairly straightforward.
Same...doesn't work in Chrome or Edge.
Failed to load.
